  1. USED Preston Fast Charger and 2 Batteries for HU2 and HU1 for sale. $350 OBO Buyer pays shipping. Email- matt@nysteadi.com
  2. Hi Guys, I found out that Camera Essentials no longer has stock and have discontinued the XCS Ultimate Rain Cover Battery/Sled/Monitor. After speaking with Patti, there may be a chance if there's enough interest that they may suss out a way to build more. So I'm just gauging interest. Alternatively, does anybody have any other reusable solutions that work for both regular and low mode protection? Photos would be great too. Thanks! Mitch
  3. I am regretfully selling my amazing starter sled, the Ultra 1. I am selling because I recently upgraded to a more powerful rig to eventually get the artemis trinity setup. I also am expecting a baby boy in april so I need to make some room! I bought this sled from James Baldanza a few years back and it has been nothing but great. I am looking to get $12,000 for the sled (and hard case), a steadicam stand, IDX Battery Charger, (7) E-HL9s IDX Batteries (one of which charging lights doesn't work anymore), a bunch of cables, and I am throwing in the IDX Camwave HD/SDI wireless transmitter which even though you don't see around anymore still works in a jam. The sled was recently serviced by Tiffen, I have had it upgraded with an HD/SDI line, as well as changing out the old gimbal to the new steadicam ultra 2 gimbal. There is a third battery plate on the bottom of the sled, and has three different options for battery placement for power. This sled is a super post (27" to 71") so it can go super high mode or super low mode very quickly and easily. It still has the fore/aft - left/right top stage wireless trim control which is one of the few sleds that still has this amazing option. The tilt stage works like a wonderfully and maintains dynamic balance regardless of where you want to angle the camera. I bought an HD/SDI wondland monitor to replace the super bright monitor from Tiffen because it was an older SD monitor and I wanted the HD. It is a cheaper monitor, but works wonderfully and I have rarely had a problem with the light. It can be powered off the sled or with an IDX battery on it's back. This setup also comes with three camera plates (two long and 1 short), three posts (12", 3.5" and 5"), the ultra 1 low mode handle which has been upgraded to work with this ultra 2 gimbal, a 12V power cable, arri alexa power cable, a few BNC cables, the redbyte decimator downconverter (for use with Tiffen superbright as a backup), cables for the decimator made by konash, and also power cables for MDR2 and MDR3 systems. Please feel free to call or email with any questions. Devin Ladd 860-237-0754 devinmladd@gmail.com

  8. Hi Everyone, For those of you who came to CineGear this past weekend, I hope you had a chance to stop by and see the new XCELL batteries that Anton/Bauer was showing. These new batteries will come in 90wh, 150wh and 190wh and will be available sometime around September/October. As always, they are fully backwards compatible with any charger that you have that charges the DIONIC series of batteries. A chip upgrade may be necessary, but not a whole new charger! The XCELL batteries are made of carbon fiber and will only come in one physical size. Because we stack the cells differently internally, we are able to use the same exact footprint for a 90, 150 or 190wh battery, with only a slight variance in weight. List price will be somewhere between USD$450.00 and $499.00. Stay tuned for more information.... Paul D

  10. Hi gents, looking for a used Antonbauer TM-4 charger. PM me or send me a mail to: used.tm-4[at]benjamintreplin[dot]de Thanks!
  11. Hi Guys, Just to let you know that Anton/Bauer is still manufacturing the DIONIC HC batteries. The next batch will be available at the end of April and we will continue to manufacture them until we have a smaller footprint battery than the new DIGITAL 90 batteries. We understand that there are certain applications which need a smaller footprint battery, so Anton/Bauer is addressing that now. Any questions or issues, please contact me or visit with me at NAB. Thanks. Paul
  12. Brand new omnishot battery adapter for preston hu2 handsets. I bought this and tried to use it with my hu1 and it does not work correctly with the hu1. Omnishot were kind enough to send me a Beta version which does work with the hu1. This model is for the hu2 handset. £230 plus shipping. Many thanks :)
  13. Up for sale is a custom modification to add a third battery to a Pro Lite Base. Simply remove the domed end cap and install this in it's place. Two versions available V-mount and Anton Bauer. 1. V-Mount: This version has a breaker installed so you can wire it into your sled and customize your power. $800 2. Anton Bauer: This is a flat backer plate and can not be wired into the sled. It is used for the added weight or the p-tap connection on an anton bauer plate. $750 Prices are for the brackets and do not include an Anton Bauer plate or a V-mount plate. The V-mount version does include a 5amp aircraft breaker.
  14. Hello all So, I've only ever flown rigs where the camera (usually a Red Epic, but at times a Panasonic AF100 and Sony EX-1 too) has been powered by its own batteries on the top stage. My understanding is you can power the camera using the rig's batteries, and there are switch/es near the base of the post to change between 12v and 24v power. Ok, so sounds easy - I set the voltage to whatever the camera needs to be supplied. Am I missing something? All over the forum I've found cases of setting the wrong voltage, not understanding what the switch does, and generally getting confused. Is there something more complex here, surely? Thanks, Nathan
  15. Hello Everyone! IDX introduced 4 new V-Mount batteries at NAB. If you missed us, check out what we showcased HERE. More info will be available soon. Thanks! Zack

  17. hey yall I have been doing a lot of location shoots with limited power resources. I realize I can grab a genny, but I really dont like burning gallons of gas throughout the day near my gear just to keep batteries fresh, power a laptop, download cards, etc. Typically I will run a laptop off of a Versa battery, plug batteries into the moho, or come up with the typical methods for powering gear throughout the day, but I am considering a few electrical modifications to my 4Runner to make it a more well-rounded tool in my kit. First, are there any power inverters that you would recommend for use in 12v power outlets in a vehicle? I have one (Vec024CA )and have been using it for years, and now it is blowing a fuse in my truck, so I am looking for recommendations based on our profession's/community's needs. Second, I am thinking about installing a second battery into my vehicle, maybe a motorcycle battery, and running it on a constant setting so that the vehicle does not have to be on in order to use the power. Then running wire towards the back of the vehicle and installing a standard wall outlet for powering batteries, laptops, etc, unless a cigarette-outlet style is required. This way I can recharge the battery with a trickle charger overnight, as I do with motorcycles, or maybe there is a way of having the vehicle recharge it. has anyone modified their vehicle to be more power efficient for the use of equipment? I have been reading a lot of posts on T4R.org as well as other 4Runner forums, but I am interested in what other operators have done. brett.
  18. So I am making some new camera power cords for myself and I was thinking it would be really nice to have have coiled / pigtail / stretchable cable for these. I can't seem to find any raw cable like this for sale though. So I am looking for raw cable like this: that have has similar characteristics to something like Canare Two-Conductor Cable (http://www.canare.com/ProductItemDisplay.aspx?productItemID=57) or Canare Star Quad (http://www.canare.com/ProductItemDisplay.aspx?productItemID=53). Thanks!
  19. Hi all, First, this is a great community. Happy I found it googling. I've lurked for a little while and the wealth of insightful posts is great. I have a Defy G5 gimbal showing up tomrrow that I am using with a 5D Mkiii and a RR wireless follow focus. It's going to be fun but I need to help with powering the follow focus. I am looking for a lightweight solution to mount a battery somewhere near center mass on the gimbal. The main rod is 20 or 22cm...I'll measure tomorrow when it comes in. I may have a friend 3D print some sort of carrier or integrated bracket for that. My main hurdle now is ordering the actual battery/charger. RedRock has this on their site: "Please Note: External power via p-tap power source is also required for proper operation." So they also recommend something like an Anton Bauer with a ptap/dtap, AB, or vmount with a bracket. Because a lot of this is new lingo for me, could someone quickly distill the major differences between those battery types. I know a couple may actually share connections but after a couple hours of research I'm still scratching my head - a bit. I have a friend who uses IDX batteries with his RR microRemote. He has a 7s and 9 with a bracket. If anyone can share a link to some batteries that would fit that application I would really, really appreciate it. How are guys with the Movi powering their followfocuses? Finally, here's a picture of the gimbal with a remote follow focus and an external battery pack. Can anyone reverse engineer what is going on from these angles? Thanks.
  20. Hi there, I'm searching for a Steadicam EFP Battery base with Anton Bauer mount and the "slide" mount (.. see photo). Got one in your closet? Reply or send me a message, please. Cheers, TOMAS
