  1. Hey folks, I've never been able to achieve proper dynamic balance with my sled before (Zephyr). I've operated a fellow op's rig (Shadow) and achieved DB in less about 3-4minutes. So as far as I can tell it might be a problem with my kit. Does my gimbal need to be centred? If so, does anyone have instructions on how to do this? I've noticed that my Zephyr gimbal has some play in it and wondering if this is a culprit... 1. As I shift the yoke side to side I can feel there is about 1mm of play there. 2. As I push the handle in to out there is about 2mm of play here. Is this normal gimbal behaviour? See videos attached. _A.mp4 _B.mp4
  2. So I have a modified EFP sled that I had rewired by Terry for HD and 12/24v last year. Came to the conclusion my gimbal needs to be re-centered so I brought it to Robert Luna. He needs the gimbal off the post so he can work on it. I futzed around with it and realized I have no way of removing the gimbal off the sled. There's no break point in the cable line anywhere between my top stage and bottom stage. It's a wrapped bundle from top to bottom. My thoughts are I have two, maybe three options: 1. Bring the sled back to Terry and create a break point 2. Disconnect/cut the cables somewhere, get the gimbal fixed, then reconnect cables/Terry creates a break point wherever I cut cables. 3. If I can't just add a break in the line, have Terry disconnect, Luna fixes the gimbal, then Terry reconnects everything (basically I don't take any chances doing it myself and causing horrible, horrible damage). Is there something else I can do? Someone else who can shim my gimbal while it's still on the post? Save me from this cruel fate? I've attached three photos sort of showing the cable. My set up: MKV carbon fiber 2 stage post EFP gimbal EFP top stage EFP/modified battery rack Any help is greatly appreciated. I really want to get this sled up and running at 100% again soon!
  3. I have (3) PRO 1 center posts with SD center post cables–all working fine. One post is missing the kip handle. $1,000 for all 3 posts. or $400 each (post + cable)
  4. Hey there, Since I didn't want to crash the Ultra 2 centering party thread, I thought I'd start my own and hope people can help me over here as well. I have the Archer 1 which has for some reason decided it wants to go off level both in tilt and in roll after I static balance and then rotate through 90, 180 and 270 degrees. Since there are no adjusting screws on the yoke like on the Archer 2 or U2 gimbal, the UK factory is too far away for a quick fixing and my steadicam repair guy's workshop is currently closed, I'm a bit clueless as to what I could do until my next shoot tomorrow evening. Any ideas anyone? Thanks a bunch!
