  1. Hey guys! I'm completely mystified. Last saturday I had a broadcasting job. I configurated my rig but one thing was different. The cable MON to video and power for my monitor did not work. So I used a V-Mount battery for the Marshall and continued the tests for the event. After we finished all this I had some free time and had the „great“ idea to test the cable once more. I connected the power connector and the BNC video connector to the monitor (which was turned off) and after that the other side to the "MON" connector of my rig. Right in that moment I heared a frizzle inside the monitore and smoke came out of it. I am not a hundred percent sure wether camera and wireless video were turned on or off. The monitor is destroyed. Wireless transmitter and camera are fine. The rig is going to be checked today, but it seems it is fine too. Camera was a Panasonic HPX 301. I use a Archer 2 rig. I made a picture of the configuration for you. Maybe this is helpful…. Has anyone any idea what happened? I am really confused and really want to know what happend. Maybe I did something really stupid?! Thanks a lot! Matthias
  2. I bought this Zephyr from another steadicam forum member. It has worked out great. A custom monitor yoke and the grip were added. Both are removable. The OE tiffen monitor mount hardware is included. I never had any issues with the arm, sled, or vest while operating. All components in the kit are in great working condition. No missing parts. Items have typical signs of use. Mainly seen on the vest and a few nicks on the outside of the arm. It has been carefully looked after by myself as it was by the original owner. It is time to make some space and find this system a new home. I am asking $5000.00 on the complete system: (sled, arm, vest, one dovetail, docking bracket, removable weights, low mode bracket, and thermodyne case) These system extensions are available to add individually when purchasing the zephyr. PM interest about which pieces and I will get you a total price. (4) steadicube V-mount batteries(all batteries charge fully) with Dual charger Second V-mount battery hanger Extra Zephyr Dovetail Vehicle mount w/Zephyr socket block Once the kit sells I will relist the remaining items. Pricing is reflective for a quick sale. The condition is really stellar considering the price. 6. Ok, I have had this monitor for a while now. It's been sitting in the Pelican case doing nothing. I hadn't looked at it for a while and now that I took it out I see it has some shallow superficial scratches on the screen. It seems as though its from wiping the monitor. Or possibly from some foam... I"m not exactly sure. You Cant see them until the monitor has the sun directly in the frame. It's still a nice monitor but I would say it's b quality now. I am including the yoke with it. It is meant to go on a baby pin. I had found a baby pin with a 1/4 20 on the other end which worked on my sled. you would probably need to adapt it somehow to a different rig unless you have a centered 1/4 20 on your sled as well. It was $150 when I bought it. I would like to get $1100.00 obo Let me know if Anyone is interested. 661 378 8016

  10. Greetings Steadicam brothers, I am a video assist operator and manufacture carbon fiber handheld brackets for small production recorders and small monitors. The bracket are made from a lightweight, strong, carbon fiber reinforced composite. They are sourced and manufactured in the US. The unit literally bounces and dissipates shock when dropped. Please see the short youtube video below. Standard colors are grey, black and clear. Clear looks like the typical carbon fiber we are all familiar with that is used for auto body parts etc. custom colors or colors from the fiberlay chart below are also available. A custom color fee may apply. http://www.fiberlay.com/gelcoatcolorchart.php The units accomodate virtually any small monitor (up to 7" diag), power system, and transmitter. Custom logo casting into the gel coat available for no charge for orders placed before August 31. Up to a $100 savings. Units retail for $475 ----distribution opportunities available--- please inquire Please email or call with any questions. Scott Hammar Nv8r INC 310 770 0377
  11. Hey all, I'm in the market for a Marshall 6.5" Transflective monitor. I'd prefer it with AB or V-mount plates, but I'm not 100% set on just those two options, as most of the time, I'll power it off my sled. Is anyone interested in parting with this seemingly beloved treasure. (I don't know if it's just me, but they only seem to pop up on the second-hand market every so often, and never when I'm ready to pull the trigger.) So, just let me know if you're interested and maybe we can make something happen. Thanks everyone!
  12. I see a lot of refernces and endorsements of the Marshall 7" V-LCD70XHB-3GSDI, but no discussion of the more versatile and more capable Marshall 7" V-LCD70MD-3G The V-LCD70MD has higher resolution, lemo power jack, both SDI and HDMI input/output, lighter weight -- plus all the features of the other (800 nit brightness, flip, etc...). And it costs a little less. Is there any reason this model is not used as much on Steadicam? Thanks! Spec Summary: V-LCD70MD – 7” High Brightness Camera-Top Monitor with Modular Input / Output • High Brightness 800 nit LCD panel • 1024 x 600 panel • SDI Loop-Through • HDMI Loop-Through • Single MD slot for a variety of Inputs or Outputs • Adjustable LED Backlight • DSLR Ratio Adjustment • HDMI Auto Color Space and Ratio detect • Manual Gamma Adjustment • Image Flip • 1/4”-20 mounts on all sides • Variety of Markers, including user-adjustable • False Color • Peaking Filter • RGB Check Field / Field Detect • 15:9, 16:9, 4:3, Pixel-to-Pixel modes • 4 user-configurable function buttons • Scratch Resistant Protective Screen • RGB gain and bias control • Variety of User-Replaceable Battery Adapters available
