I am selling my MK-V Omega AR / Omega Revolution system. This is the original MK-V Omega AR package as supplied by MK-V Omega Ltd, consisting of the rotating cage, Omega AR control unit, motor-stabilised monitor arm / Fusion control software package, side-to-side camera plate, M1 cable pack, spare cable pack, M1 monitor adapter bracket and Pelican Storm travel case. The system was purchased directly from MK-V Omega Ltd in December 2018. Original invoice and documentation are available. The Omega AR is a specialised professional Steadicam / AR system built around an actively controlled rotating cage. It allows high-mode, mid-mode and low-mode transitions while maintaining the camera horizon, and enables the distinctive Omega/AR style of operating: high-to-low moves, low-to-high moves, mid-mode moves around objects and controlled roll-axis shots that are difficult or impossible to achieve with a conventional Steadicam setup alone. The system is designed for professional operators and can be adapted to suitable Steadicam sleds, subject to correct power, cabling and compatibility. This package was originally supplied with M1-specific MK-V power/control cables, terminating in 3-pin RS-style connectors on the Tiffen M1 sled side, as well as an M1 monitor adapter bracket. Selling my trusty MK-V, time to move on. It’s a 2” four stage post, HD upgraded, Betz top stage (plate included), MK-V v2 gimbal. Solid rig that has been good to me. Purchased used in 2017 from Bob Gorelick who owned it since new. Currently setup for v-lock batteries but that’s an easy swap if you want to go gold mount with it. One of the post kip handles got shortened somewhere along the way, works fine though. Includes MKV to xlr power cables (2), pile of lightweight 75 ohm BNC, MKV to pro monitor power (2), some MKV bracketry parts, camera plates (2), gold mount power plate for camera, third battery plate (v lock), no monitor included.
