Preliminary listing of some excellent gear. Gear cannot officially be shipped until i can get back to my storage in early July but for any who have a serious interest or wish to purchase now and can wait for shipping, priority will be given. *MK-V V4 rig with 2 inch four stage post, V4 electronics (with spare lower electronics base), V2 advanced 2 inch gimbal, Betz topstage, monitor mount with yoke, SmallHD DP7 High Bright HD monitor and monitor power cables and two dual V mount battery blocks (one is pivoting, one is fixed angle) and other accessories including camera power cables. Main rig is in very good shape. Gimbal was an MK-V demo gimbal and is in good shape. This is one of the rigs i used on Green Book and performs really well. It Has also been used with the AR and is perfect for that application. Very solid. Selling for $10,000 US. *Walter Klassen Deluxe Steadicam Harness. Size is for approx 6 foot tall with a waist size around 36 inch. In good shape. Was purchased used to be a back up harness but has never been used by me. Hello, I am a newbie in the world of steadicam, took a workshop last year, and planning to get rig by this year end. I would like to have your opinions on Smartsystem package which as Vest Lite, Armx1 and Extreme sled. I have seen a lot of operators using ArmX1 and few of them using Extreme sled with all of them very happy with it. I haven't tried these, also I don't see a chance to try this anytime before 2021 in expo.

Selling a Glidcam X45 sled with Camjam Quattro monitor bracket with SmallHD 702 monitor. Comes with extra dovetail plate and extra cords and accessories. In great condition, just upgrading. Solid, yet simple rig that will hold heavy payloads easily. Flown well with me. You'll see there is a small chip in the gimbal handle's socket. Doesn't effect the operation, and it will ship with 2 extra sockets to replace it. I never got around changing it as it works fine for me, but you have the option to get that replaced as I'm sending it with 2 replacement parts. Also, the monitor has a 1 stuck green pixel, as you can see from the pic. Not that big of a deal for me, as well. Still got the job done. Questions concerning the Tiffen M2. I will be upgrading to a Tiffen sled latter this year, and have (had) my sights set on an M1. Now here is the M2. The M2 really interests me. I have read all the literature I can find on it which other than the Tiffen page isn’t much. As it is newer. I like the modularity of its design as well, and know it’s less expensive than an M1. I have read a bit on the forum, stating that it doesn’t cary the same payload as the M1. My work tends to be on features with larger builds. Example, I just finished a show with the Arri LF. Where I flew it for several months. So I suppose my question is, can the M2 fly an LF type camera? And if so can it do it comfortably. Or should I just put my thoughts about the M2 aside and stay focused on the M1. Any advice or thoughts on the matter are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hey folks! I just picked up a Steadicam Master sled / vest / arm package and I'm already seeing / feeling a lot of the limitations to the sled itself. I don't like the lack of HD, the monitor mount is permanently loose, and the proprietary batteries will probably prove to be a headache in the future as well. So I'm looking into modifying the sled. Cramped Attic quoted me about $2500 for the battery and HDSDI upgrades, and recommended that I handle the monitor bracket locally. However, I'd like to shop around so I fully know my options. I know Mk V has Master sled upgrades, and I'm looking into that. However, they're in the UK, and I'd like to avoid incurring those kinds of shipping fees. I wanted to tap the community and see if anyone else knew places (preferably local to NYC, but not necessarily) where I could get mods done on my Master Sled. Any input and leads would be greatly appreciated!

Hey all, I saw on newshooter.com post about this sled being released by SmartSystem about 7 months ago. First, I don't know the quality of their products, so how are their sleds? I know they are more a "budget" sled compared to some of the bigger brands such as GPI Pro, Tiffen, MKV, and Arri, but are they at least decent? I have the Glidecam X45 sled, and I feel it's pretty good for it's price point. I have a Ronin 2 already, so seeing this as my next step sled to get into a "poor man's Trinity" would be great. Plus, I like the option it can be converted into a standard sled for normal Steadi use, as well. If any one can chime in on this, that would be wonderful. Thank you!

Hi all! Im looking for someone who can service an older Tiffen rig - Clipper 24. Ive been having a balance issue for some time now. The rig won’t hold trim - tilting forward makes the whole thing front heavy, same for back. Here is a video of the problem (although after sending it to Tiffen it seems too be even more pronounced) :https://youtu.be/qBYoPRfufXU I have had the gimbal serviced by Robert, two blocks in the top stage replaced and the top stage and batter hanger tightened by Tiffen. At this point I’m having trouble pin pointing the problem and am looking for someone to take a look at the rig as a whole. Because if it’s age Tiffen has refused to service it. Question about rig accuracy and balance: I fly an older Clipper 24 with tilt stage, ultrabrite monitor and V mount battery hanger. I’ve grown to really like flying with a very slow drop time, sometimes almost neutral. Recently I’ve run into a problem: After trimming the rig it flys fine but after resting in on my shoulder or doing a larger tilt move I find it is thrown out of balance. It’s not drastic but enough that I have to retrim every time. Sometimes something as gentle as a drop time test will throw it off. It’s consistently in the direction that it tilt (tilt forward and the rig becomes front heavy). I have combed through every inch of the rig looking for a loose part and have found nothing. I’ve also tried balancing without the monitor or batteries and it still won’t hold balance. (Just to be clear I’m using a weight plate as a camera, which I have also checked thoroughly so it’s not a loose camera part.. it’s gotta be something on the rig). Top stage is tight, the plate isn’t slipping, monitor and batteries aren’t moving.. After pulling the entire rig apart and feeling very certain I’ve checked everything that could possible be moving, I raise the question: am I just asking too much of my (older) rig? Is flying with such a neutral drop time just not practice with an older rig? Wondering if anyone has any ideas or has run into anything like this before. Anything helps.. I’m stumped! Thanks! Sawyer
