Hi chaps, My Ultra 1 is up for sale. I'll be sad to see this one go - it has been my one and only rig for two years, and has never let me down. As you might expect there are some minor cosmetic marks in places like the arm covers or the vest's fabrics, but functionally everything is rock solid and flies smooth as butter. 24V or 12V power comes from V-Locks (not included), which means you can power any camera from the top-stage (cables for Alexa or XLR4 included, amongst others), and the HD-SDI cable I slipped and secured down the post in the beginning has never failed. I'm throwing in a venerable Transvideo Rainbow (SD) monitor, but you'll certainly want to make use of that HD cable at some point! The tilt-stage (un-motorised) and four-stage post are frequently useful features which I'll miss in my next sled, and the tool-free Master/Ultra arm will be difficult to top, honestly. Hello, For sale is a Steadicam Zephyr HD AB sled, with original arm, vest, HD 7" and rolling hard case. This item is in beyond good condition, a few minor scratches just from casual use. It was purchased from B&H at the end of June of 2014, and I can count on two hands the number of times it has been used. I am based out of Metro Detroit and willing to ship out of my area, as well as be available for local pick up. I am looking to get $8,500 O.B.O. for it as its just over a year old and is in great condition. Wish I didn't have to sell it, but due to health issues I am unable to use it anymore. Hello, How difficult/ what is the process for re-wiring a Master series sled to support HDSDI? Maybe even swap out the 4 pin HiROSE to be all 2 pin LEMOs and throw on another Aton plate to the front of the K section too. I plan on keeping this sled for a few years so upgrading it is not a option, just wanted to try and bring it up-to-date. It all seams like a challenge over my head, is there anyone to be recommended for this in the LA area? Trying to know what i am getting into before I make the first step. Thanks.

Sled is in like new condition with minor scratches and general wear from light usage. I've only had this sled for just over two years. For the past year and half or so I've barely used it, other than the odd job, as I transitioned to DP work. All the electronics were upgraded just over a year ago to the infinity alpha system HD-SDI. I'm selling my Proline Raven stabilizer. I bought this and did some practice with it but never used it on a production. It's essentially been sitting in the studio. The system shows some marks from setting it up and practicing but otherwise it's in excellent condition. The bad news for me is I have a bunch of money tied up in this. The good news is I learned enough about Steadicam to know to hire and work with a great operator on the film I directed last year. Hi, I'd like to hear people's thoughts and experiences working with a Master (Broadcast) sled, and if you guys think it's 'still got it' compared to modern sleds? I'm still looking at upgrade options and have been considering a used Archer2 with G50x arm, but a Master with upgraded G70 is available for a similar price (both with LX vests). The sled has been upgraded with HD-SDI already so should be ready to fly modern cameras. I'm just a little concerned about the apparent lack of flexibility of the monitor and battery mounts and the short post? The G70 arm would allow me to upgrade to a modern 'big rig' sled in the future but just concerned that the old sled design may have some compromises compared to a modern one while I'm working with it? I've not yet had a look and test of either of them but doing some background research at the moment ;) Cheers guys will get there in the end! rups

I had the Merlin2 arm and vest. Turns out my rig is too heavy. It weighs in at (cut down) around 24 lbs. Full rig weight can be anywhere between 24-30 depending. Scale accuracy aside im looking to get one that will work with my rig. I primarily do live events so on the go. I use my two DSLRs as secondary cameras so I just want something I can use to quickly take my rig off a tripod and transfer to the steadicam for quick movement shots, or simply place on the sled and support the entire time. I've done some research. Looking at the pricing it seems there isnt anything for less than $5,000 or so that will work with my primary camera. Not sure if anyone knows, however is there a way to buy just a heavy duty sled and not all the extra bells and whistles. I already have a Marshall broadcast monitor and hookups so thats not an issue I dont need all that extra stuff I really just need a quality steadicam that is smooth for heavier weights. Option one aside, there is also the option of using a smaller stabilizer with one of the DSLRs. Thats fine, however that brings to mind the question of using a sled or using a curve. Going again, barebones with the Merlin or a different route perhaps the new Steadicam Solo (although im concerned about durability with that one. Not sure of the pros and cons of either. The curve ones I believe may have more sway in the wind so a sled might be better. Alot of my work is outdoors. That being said, looking for advice thanks in advance.

Greetings All Tiffen International are hosting an open day with honoured guest Garrett Brown on Monday the 16th June.
