Premium Members Peter Abraham Posted December 23, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 23, 2011 Hi folks, I need to lay hands on two items. I'm helping someone in the Live T.V. world check out a Steadicam and need to use the parts to properly show the rig. 1. A set of tri ax to co ax adaptors and the coax that runs in between them. 2. If anyone HAS, a genuine very thin flexible TriAx cable. CP used to sell it,then Tiffen did till the custom-pulled spool ran out then. It was a silicone-sheathed cable. Please email me if you've got some of this stuff on hand. Will pay FedEx both ways of course. I need it in hand by Jan 4, and will send it out Jan 5 back to you. Many thanks in advance, Peter Peter Abraham Director of Technical Services, Steadicam® GM, Steadicam Workshops Program The Tiffen Company 90 Oser Avenue Hauppauge NY 11788 (917) 453-1219 (845) 595-2270 Fax pabraham@tiffen.com http://www.thesteadicamworkshops.com Skype: peterabrahamsteadicam
Anthony Graham
Hi If you don't manage to find the old CP one, you might want to try through your Tiffen Europe branch. I believe they sell through the ones made up by Mike Scott in the UK. I believe he keeps the fisher and lemo triax in stock. If the client wants to buy a rig then they could also buy the cable if needed through Mike/Tiffen Europe. http://www.steadi.co.uk/sale.htm Though not the same cable they are still very very good. Premium Members Peter Abraham Posted December 31, 2011 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted December 31, 2011 Hey guys, Thank you one and all for the help. I've got both a TriAx to CoAx turnaround kit coming and a light thin true TriAx coming. I knew that the community would offer up help. :) John, have a blast in there. I turned down the offers through the years to do the ABC show every New Year's Eve. Now of course I wish I'd done at least one. Best, Peter ( Now, the fun part- making live t.v. next week for a day !!! )
