Premium Members Jens Piotrowski SOC Posted March 27, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 27, 2014 I just wanted to write up a short review of a not well known, at least to me, product. The Betz Tools external level sensor for the Transvideo Cinemonitor HD line of monitors. http://www.betz-tools.com/en/monitor_electronic-bubble.php I found myself being used to having the build in PDL in my Ultimate 1 sled. After switching to HD and the Transvideo HD6 monitor, I was looking for an near post mounted external level, for the obvious reasons. Betz Tools in Munich offered exactly what I needed. The level sensor is "plug and play" with the Cinemonitor HD6. It has five settings for each Angle (resolution) and speed (reactivity/dampening), a simple memorized "Zero" function and "direction" reverse for low mode. It utilizes the Transvideo software and hardware, Avenger leveler needs to be enabled. You can select from a variety of display look options and position the "level" anywhere on the screen, including the lower grey portion used for picture analysis. works on HD-SDI and Composite inputs what you will need: Avenger software from Transvideo, now a free upgrade Betz Level sensor, specify which side you want the Lemo output connector on D-sub to Lemo adapter from Betz Lemo to Lemo cable from Betz, specify length cost: sensor 800 euro adapter 135 euro cable 125 euro

Premium Members JamieSilverstein Posted April 2, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 2, 2014 But will it work on monitors other than Transvideo?
Premium Members Jens Piotrowski SOC Posted April 2, 2014 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted April 2, 2014 No, not a this point, it is interfaced with the transvideo Cinemonitor HD line only. However the XCS HD PDL will.
