Paul Nordin
Hi there, I've got a Flyer and will be working a feature coming up flying: HVX200, P+S mini-adapter, superspeeds. The adpater will put the flyer's arm very close to max weight and I would like to run the camera off the power tap on the camera mounting plate to reduce weight of the camera battery. Does anyone know where I might go to find an adapter for this? I've searched the forum but haven't found the lead I'm looking for. Cheers, Paul
Premium Members Sven Joukes Posted May 6, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 6, 2006 Hi Paul, Maybe this link will get you somewhere, they make special 7.2V solutions for V-Mount/NP-1 batteries powering smaller cameras. Hope this helps. Cheers, Sven

Premium Members Anders Holck Petersen Posted May 7, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 7, 2006 Dvxuser.com is selling a small DC-DC converter. 12v in 7.2v out. with XLR on the 12v side and the standard Panasonic power connector on the 7.2v side. I believe it should work for 14.4 as well. It's $169. So it's a lot more than a simple DC-DC converter if you do the plugs yourself.... You can order from this page at Dvxuser BUT I believe it weights quite a bit more than a 5.6 AH camera battery...

Premium Members Erik Brul Posted May 8, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 8, 2006 im interested in the power converter.anyone know if i could get one to fit sony HDV fx1/z1? ta Morgs I think it will work for the Sony HDV cam's.. when you use ac power to powerup your camera, is this then some sort plate which connects at the battery mount on the camera ? And is the connector on this plate then a 12volt consumer connector ?.. If yes, then it should be possible to use the described model of 20W of power for HDV camera's.. Just my thought, Erik
