Greg Quinn
My guess is about $3.5k-$4k list, discounted to around $3k from places like Adorama. I bought a Merlin a few weeks ago for my Sony HVR-V1U, and it works very well. However, even with this cam which is one of the lightest 3 chip HDV cams available, we've found the merlin functionally impractical for anything except the shortest shoot period (e.g. 4-5 minutes or less). The vest should provide a wonderful solution for this. It also explains why Tiffen were operating the Flyer rebate running in November/December. Matt Burton
It will be interesting to see what the next generation flyer will be like, taking advantage of the new arm progressions and feedback from the sled design. Perhaps we will see a flyer 2 or ultra flyer not before long ?

Premium Members Amando Crespo Posted April 24, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 24, 2007 Hi!... I´m here again. Well... I could work with that arm at the last Swiss workshop, under the eagle look of Mr. Garrett. It´s.. or.. it isn´t a toy. Well... It gets a good founcionement and gets you the results... stabilize the camera. Any way... It´s dificult (arround an hour and a half) to use it.
