Premium Members Mike Germond SOC Posted July 12, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 12, 2008 It sounds like Flyer/Pilot workshops a new thing? How has the turnout been in recent months? If there's still space, I'll be reserving my spot in the Hollywood, CA workshop this week..
Premium Members Peter Abraham Posted July 24, 2008 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted July 24, 2008 I've been teaching the 2-day Flyer Workshops since the Flyer was introduced, and that was what- 4 years ago? Now we have the Pilot in the mix as well, because their weight capacity is so close that it overlaps somewhat ( very much by design ! ). We typically have 3 Flyers and a Pilot, sometimes 2 Flyers and a Pilot. Come and check out one of the workshops ! Alex White
As a Steadicam newbie located in Las Vegas, I'll be trying my best to make it to the Glendale workshop! I'll have to see how my school schedule clears out, but I'm gonna try! Thanks Peter, Alex White
Premium Members Mike Germond SOC Posted August 11, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 11, 2008 I just completed the Birns & Sawyer workshop TONIGHT, and it was a huge success. Peter, the knowledge and skill-set that you imparted on us has been incredibly beneficial. I think I speak for everyone when I express my gratitude for your time! We will be in contact in the next few days about my equipment situation. Additional thanks for the private demo! I love that big rig feel (he threw a demo Ultra on me, and it was quite an experience)! Highly recommended, no matter what rig you currently fly or want to fly. The skill-set definitely translates.. This is so cool to hear. I am growing more and more excited to get to a workshop and learn from the best. I've got the basics down, but need fine tuning from the pros! Now I am just secretly praying that they'll hold another workshop is Las Vegas, so I don't have to make the drive to LA. I was out of the country when the last workshop is Vegas was held. Either way, I can't wait to get to a workshop!

Premium Members Jon Beattie Posted August 20, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 20, 2008 Hello, How about in Japan? Where can I learn about? Tsuyoshi I don't know fo any workshops in Japan. I'd say the closest thing to you would be going to Australia. Of course you can always contact Peter Abraham I'm sure if you get the bodies for a class he'll be able to set something up there or maybe Hawaii.
