Premium Members Eric Fletcher S.O.C. Posted June 29, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 29, 2008 As many of you know I work on And I have a great focus puller. I just got a Preston HU3 and he doesn't want to scratch it so he built this... I love it when the AC's respect our investments. Sorry about the photo quality, damn iPhone. Premium Members Afton Grant Posted June 29, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 29, 2008 The foam bed is one thing, but to always light it so romantically is really going the extra mile...
Premium Members Mike McGowan SOC Posted June 29, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 29, 2008 How long have you had it and how do you like the H3??? I just checked with Preston and the wait is finally down to four weeks for a new unit (much better than six months). Also, since your on Dexter, you can confirm or deny my EX1 statment. Ask Romeo if JR shot any of the second unit they did in Miami with the EX? And tell him Rat says hi!

Ask Romeo if JR shot any of the second unit they did in Miami with the EX? And tell him Rat says hi! We love the HU3. Interesting on the wait time since I had zero wait. I called Leticia at 9am and sent transpo to pick it up at 10am, so my wait was 2 hours when you include the time it took transpo to bring it back to set. The EX1 has been used for a few shots but it's not our 2nd unit camera. 2nd Unit shoot's with F23's just like first unit.
Premium Members Ed Moore Posted June 29, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 29, 2008 Particularly love the plant that's been dressed into that shot - your AC has a beautiful future ahead of him in corporate video should he wish :)

I talked to her about one week ago and got 4 weeks but I was also asking for the wait for an entire new system. And yes, I was aware that the f23 was the camera but I was pretty sure I saw the EX doing a little work too...... We did the same last season on Burn Notice using the Panasonic mini dv and cutting it in with super 16. I even know what the shots are and you cant really tell the difference. How far along are you guys on season 3? Dexter is one of the few (very few) TV shows I actually watch.
Moderators Alec Jarnagin SOC Posted June 29, 2008 Moderators Report Share Posted June 29, 2008 Mike, maybe you also saw an EX1 with the EPK crew? Funny how it can be harder and harder to tell these days! A few months ago I did some webisodic thing and you could argue that the EPK crew had a better camera than us (they had a Sony F900; we had a Panasonic HDX 900). Nice bed for the HU3 Eric. Niall Chadwick
rofl Considering balance is key in steadicam, im surprised that alcohol is the tipple of choice. Ironic dont you think? :) Ron, they seem to be painting this rather negative view of you as an old soak! Care to confirm or deny these accusations? :) Mind you that said, im in Essex England, home of the binge drinker!
