Premium Members Gus Trivino Posted December 2, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 2, 2008 This topic is only to say thanks. Days ago I had a trouble with my BFD reciver. I sent an email to Jim and the next day the spare parts arrived to Argentina, here bellow of the world. Now, the BFD is working perfect, as the last 4 years. Is really a pleasure to work with you Jim. Thanks a lot. Gus
Premium Members JimBartell Posted December 2, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) You are very welcome, Gus. Always glad to help you fix your gear (so I don't have to). Premium Members JobScholtze Posted December 2, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 2, 2008 I have 2 of them, never let me down. I still have to send one in, becose that little spring that connects to the battery got stuck to the 9v and i had to use force to get it out. But it still works, so perhaps i could fix this myself jim? Anyway. In every concerthall, stadium, studio or whatever, it works and it rocks. ( as long as you dont put HD signal true MK-V wires your all good ;-) ) Thx Jim, its really a piece of art in its range

But it still works, so perhaps i could fix this myself jim? Hi Job, The spring contact is riveted in so it requires some special tool to replace. As soon as I receive my next batch of parts (due in this week) I'll send you a replacement block with both springs already riveted in and the wires soldered on. Then you just have to solder it to the circuit board. Please send me an e-mail so I can keep it in my in box as a reminder. Premium Members Imran Naqvi Posted January 29, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 29, 2009 I just want to get in line to say thanks. I needed a run/stop cable from BFD to RED. Sent an email, had a chat on the phone after JB had already provided the pinouts. He sent the cable out on Thursday from the US, and I had it by Monday. The following day when we were having issues with it, I sent an email asking for some input and Jim's advice, showed us the way when even the supplier of the RED seemed stumped. All this despite the fact he never remembered meeting me (despite the fact I bought him soooo many drinks at NAB, thought that might have had something to do with it). Anyway, thank you Jim. Premium Members RonBaldwin Posted June 10, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 10, 2009 Jim Bartel is great...though sometimes a bit misguided. He almost named his focus device the VFG (Va FanGool) but a few of us convinced him to call it the Big F'ing Deal instead! Now he's a Lisagav dealer too. rb
