	Hey y'all,<br />
	<br />
	I recently purchased an older kit, and everything is great. One of the biggest struggles I've had is with the Master Vest. I'm a bit wider than the previous user, and I was wondering if you all had any suggestions for these side pieces for the lower section of the vest. They dig into the tops of my thighs, and I have to raise my vest way too high up for my thighs not to bump into them haha.<br />
	<br />
	My waist size is 44"<br />
	<br />
	Any suggestions for this issue? I've considered cutting the plastic and cushions, but I'm not sure that's the right answer.
</p>

<p>For some time I have been playing with the idear of making a new vest design.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>My basic idear is this. The backmounted vests out there are very nice, but not a lot of improvements in there design, so I sat down with my brother in law and discussed the possiblities of making a new improved design of the backmounted vest.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The design of the supporting backpiece will be shaped ergonomically to fit the human backcurve. The existing vests have this issue, that they do not support the full length of your spine/back, but only lower or upper parts, witch makes the vest slow on fast movements. But if you make the backplate fit to the shape of your back all the way - you get somthing quite different.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I have been mountainclimbing for many years, and not until I bought a backpack from Bergans in Norway did I get a backpack I could wear all day with 30 kilos and NOT get tired!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>So I analysed the shape of the backpack, and came up with the design for my new titaniumplated backmounted vest.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The arm will be titanium as well, and shaped quite differently from what you have seen so far. Also a different way of ajusting tilt of the connection socket.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The vest padding will be a special treated leather, with multiple ajustment options for perfect ergonomic fitting. Hand crafted here in Denmark of course.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>If all goes well - I will have a prototype ready for IBC in Holland later this fall.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>So please, pop me a line, if you are interested in a vest like that.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Will be uploading some nice 3D pictures of the design, when they are done. :)</p>

	There`s something I`ve been wondering for some time. When the Exo was released I remember having read somewhere that it was designed with the capability of backmount in mind - but I never saw such an option directly from Tiffen. Over the years even those few offerings from Flowcine and Walter Klassen disappeared. Does anyone know of others still on the market and, if not, what the reason is? Is there something which makes this vest less perfect for backmounting or is it that there is no real benefit in doing so? Thanks for any insights!

<p>
	Question, starting to use the Exovest in front mount. Is there anything to get the arm lower in front mount? Like the <span style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:13px;text-align:left;">Ibaird? Goofy style</span>

	A friend wants to start out with a Glidecam Vest but can not close the waist section tight enough because his waist size is 28 so that lots of the weight lies on the shoulders.

<p>
	Anyone has a smart idea how to fix that problem without having something around the waist which might be to slippery or to soft? Thanks.

	I have recently bought the Zeegee rig and was thinking of getting the old Mark 3 arm out of retirement to use with it. However the socket block seem to be a fraction larger than the Pro arm. I found a discussion from 2016 about this where it was suggested fitting a Mark 3 block onto the Pro vest. Is it then safe to use the Pro arm in that socket?

<p>
	Hey everyone!
</p>

<p>
	<span style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">I'm having a little issue with my Zephyr vest, the pin that pops in and out of the holes from the socket block to the center spar has come off my vest. I’ve attached photos, let me know if this is something that could be fixed by myself or if I need to bring my vest in. The knob that tightens the socket block to the center spar still works, so I should be good to go in the mean time. </span>

	As you can see in the sled section I did quite a bit of modifying to the Pilot. I wanted to mod the vest as well to better fit me. I'm 6'2", 200lbs. The Pilot vest was not really made for me. LOL.
</p>

<p>
	And me being me, I had to put on my thinking cap and get to work. I have looked at so many different types of vests and wanted to emulate various parts of them. Mainly the chest plate area.
</p>

<p>
	While the vest itself does what it is supposed to to do, I wanted more. The connection at the top of the chest plate to the padding was weak. The middle area didn't fit my rib cage. And all the plastic just made it feel cheap. Where I live it's hard to find aluminum stock anywhere. I had to find it in everyday items. The plate I cut for the chest plate is from a tow away zone sign. It's 1/16" thick 5052 H38. So I knew it would work. The piece I cut to replace the plastic at the waist was from what's called a Hawk. Used for holding mud while doing drywall. Not sure of it's tensile strength but it works. Since I work at a hardware store our warehouse has various odds and ends laying around from either customer returns or damaged products. I'm lucky in that sense. The ratchets came from a set of drywall stilts. The stab buckles I got from Amazon when I bought a 4 pack of "tactical" belts. I found a weight lifting belt at a thrift store and used it for cushion under the ladder straps. I just happen to have quite a few of the small barrel bolts on hand so that made life easier. I'm always keeping an eye out for random pieces of aluminum that might come in handy. A thought I've had for awhile is getting ahold of a Flycam Vista II vest and just using the chest plate and spares from it with the Steadicam padding. I would change all the buckles and knobs and locating pins because from what I can tell they are not of great quality. Just a thought.
