Frame Delay ?

Hello everyone,

I'm currently working on a tv series in Cairo . Were shooting with sony 900's and using a marrel

microwave transmitter. The picture quality is so-so. I was wondering if I used my modulus 3000 and

a hermes pal receiver, would the picture be better? There isn't any pal tuners here that I have found. Seems like the 3 operators here only use microwave. How big would the frame delay be? If this has

been disgussed before, please forgive me. All help is appreciated . thanks, Rick Drapkin

P.S. Has anyone had the chance to use the new hd transmitter from Transvideo ?

Hi Rick,

the F900 has a delay on the SD output of around 5 frames, the modulus and receiver part can add one frame more. You should be able to get a PAL receiver from any rental house in Europe.....Try Arri Munich or contact Transvideo in France.
