Ladies and Gents,

I have a bunch of small pouches filled with various sizes of these things called BOA-LOK. Given there sizes I think they have something to due with the rods and focus motors but everyone I have shown them to has never seen them before or can figure out how there used. I was hoping that one of you could help me shed some light on this. Thanks in advance!

Nicholas;

Here is what came up with a Google search from jan 2004 on this very forum

I don't know anything beyond that. I suspect they could be used for some other system since I don't think his units are being delivered any longer.

More infomation about these changes are available on our website: www.UNITCINE.com

Kind regards,

The Boa-Lok were Mr. Fishers method of clamping the receiver of his Benz wireless follow focus to matte box rods. The rods went through the opening and the ends of the springs inserted into the mounting bracket. The following link will take you to an Adobe copy of Mr. Fishers one and only issue of his company newsletter, UNITBOX. The second page has a nice article with pictures of the Boa-Lok's development.

One has to wonder what would have happened if he had spent as much time actually building his products as he did hyping them.
