matt allsop
Hi guys hope all is well. Looking for a little help towards a recorder. Will be taking a feed from my Ultra sled and wondering what/how is the best way to do so?! Would it be fair to say that Archos seem to be leading the market in recorders - or at least a fairly affordable option. Has anybody used the archos 5 - the inputs require a dock annoyingly and would need to bodge one up from the DVR deck. Is an older model more suited to our kind of work? Anybody that could put some light on this would be helping so much. Or even point me in the right direction if info is elsewhere... I did do searchs but nothing came up. Hope all is well and everyone is busy Matt

Premium Members Charles Papert Posted July 22, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 22, 2009 I'm going to piggyback on this to say that I have a like-new Archos 405 for sale for $75. I've tested it but never used it on a shoot. I'm going a different direction.

Premium Members Nestor Salazar Posted July 28, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 28, 2009 Hello all I also just bought my archos 5. Ive been using it on a couple of job and its been working great. Its very easy to use, to watch the videos you recorded and to download them to the computer.. It have alot of nice ad ons like GPS that I have been thinking of bying.. I don have the power cable to my nexus yet, so I have been using it on batteries. But as soon as I have the cable it will be complete. I would like to have something more adapted to field work, but right now I can´t think of having anything else for that price. I would defenetly recommended it.
