Thanks Tamberelli has the WEVI HD, you may try them. Abel does as well, but for "cheap, and it may even possibly work" Tamberelli is a good bet. Premium Members Charles Papert Posted October 25, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 25, 2009 FYI the "official" name of that unit is the Camwave--actually, it is properly spelled CAM~WAVE, as I learned when I wrote an article about it for IDX. Many people refer to it as the IDX transmitter. Wevi is the company that originally designed it, IDX bought/licensed the technology from them. IDX themselves call it the CW-5HD. Talk about a product with multiple personalities! I've personally adopted Camwave (oh sorry, CAM~WAVE--writing that article taught me exactly where to find the tilde on my keyboard) as the name of choice. Incidentally I will be in NYC Tuesday through the end of the week, working Wednesday night, and I will have my Camwave with me--if for some reason you are having a hard time finding one, I can rent to you. Mine has Anton Bauer mounts on it vs the more commonly found v-mount, if that helps (or hurts). Makes it easy to mount to the rig if you have gold mount plates. Thanks Charles, I appreciate the offer. But I don't need it until November 12th. The information about the CAM~WAVE though helps and thanks again!
