Premium Members Lars Erik Posted February 1, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 1, 2010 I'm starting to think someone uo there didn't want me to buy this new rig. I have discovered a new problem now. The digital level in the monitor is off! I've crosschecked it many times with two different manual bubbles. Same result. Does anyone know how to adjust this level, is it even possible? Man, I feel unlucky at the moment... LE
RobinThwaites
Hi Lars How do you mean off? Do you need to centre it? Robin
Premium Members Lars Erik Posted February 1, 2010 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted February 1, 2010 Hi Robin, I mean that the digital level isn't correct. When the rig is standing on a flat floor, and all manual bubbles on the rig is showing that the floor is level, the digital level that's in the U2, is showing the opposite. In the Manual for Ultra2c under Artificial Horizon it says: Place a small bubble level on a surface parallel to the bottom frame of your camera (usually the dovetail plate works well). Angle and hold the sled until this bubble reads level, then push and release the horizon button quickly. The display should now read “level.” I think you should calibrate the artificial horizon from time to time. Hope this helps. Beste hilsner Lars-Erik That's one of the best thing about this forum... You're never an idiot. No stupid questions - even if you're an experienced OP. I just happens to have read the manual for my newly bought Steadicam Clipper, and the artificial Horizon was something I read thoroughly, because I have bought this upgrade-option. Og velbekomme - Lars.
RobinThwaites
Thomas Thanks for beating me to it. One point is that the centreing button is multifuntional incorporating reset and invert for low mode depending on the length of time that you hold it down. The fast press is to set the level, other are worth checking th manual. Robin
