Well.. I too decided to be in shape again for my .. Ack! .. 46th birthday. Jan 4 th started a diet and right now dropped almost 30 pounds. 5 weeks ago started p90x and am completely amazed at my gains in strength and stamina. I'm working on a series so the needed 7hours sleep has been the hard part for sure. The food is easy as catering offers any possible combo of carbs and proteins. It is an intense workout to be sure... And you do need 100 percent commitment...

Getting up at 4am for a 7 am call hurts after a 14 hour day before. I haven't felt this good for some time... I completely recommend this program if you re serious.. It hurts, but it works.

Justin and the rest of you,

good on ya!

My close friend is the producer of P90X, he'll be happy to hear y'all are so enthusiastic about his product.

As for my workouts, I call it Steadicam on live sets and Hockey, Skiing, Mt Biking, Skateboarding and Wakeboarding....

Oh and Peanut M&Ms

I was seeing about P90X Workouts, and it look great, but for me this kind of routine doesn´t work.

I am a little bit lazy and I always need a profesor pushing me to finish my routine.

I actually train amateur MMA and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu during 11 years, and 1 year ago I started "Funcional Training" & "Crossfit" with Kettlebells.

After knowing Kettlebell training I didn`t go to a gym anymore.

I found it very motivating, all classes are different and a new challenge day after day.

Im enjoying it a lot.

I think MMA or Jiu Jitsu is not for all the people, but try Kettebells once.

I think you`ll be love it.

Best to all,

Hi Thomas

I usually use Kettlebells depends what kind of exercice we are doing.

Usually

9kg (20 lb)

12 (26 lb)

16 (35 lb)

21 (46 lb)

24 (52 lb)

30 (66 lb)

34 (75 lb)

You can train hard as far you can.

Kettlebell is a very aerobic routine too, not only an anaerobic train as you can do at the Gym.

If you have a Kettlebells gym on your area, go to see a class and ask the professor.

You will feel more flexible and strong, not only for your (our) work, for your day by day.

Just try it :P

I haven't done kettle bell, but I'm sure it's great. my aunt swears by it. She is Diesel.

I'm in the middle of week 8 of P90X. I feel great. have have put on about 10 lbs of muscle, lost 5 lbs over all, so far, and had to buy larger t shirts.

I'm not doing steadicam every day. I work as a DP, steadicam Op and/or camera op. So far this year, my steadi days have been few. I figured I needed to stay ready for the 12 hour days. I'm on a show that started with steadi but was cut back to "we'd like it." then "no steadi, but maybe." All be for the first shoot day. I've been working with the DP for 3 years. It's union 3 days a week and 10 minutes from my house. So the steadi stays at home. I get up, workout, work 12 hours come home kiss my sleeping son good night, have dinner with my wife, and do it again the next day.

I don't work out on steadicam days, unless they are light days. I just start the next day with the work out I missed and keep going.
