Premium Members Thomas English Posted February 12, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 12, 2004 ive done the big stages at glasto as well as big chill a coupla times and a few others. i find sometimes, especially when there s a poor act on the steadicam "steals the show" from the act itself.. a coupla of times ive had mates of mine shout at me from the audience because they have nt seen me in years and their drunk. its incredible how the voice of one person timed right can carry so far over a crowd of 10000... hand helds good. Premium Members Peter Abraham Posted February 17, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 17, 2004 If you end up on stage the director need to let you finish your move and go to a camera that allows you to walk off with out crossing the camera thats on the air. Adam Keith Q Video Services, Inc. .............unless your incredibly handsome focus puller/ cableman is RIGHT behind you, making sure you don't appear on camera at all but instead sacrifices his OWN privacy for the good of the show. ( Unless it's Third Eye Blind, in which case said focus puller is too busy singing along to keep up. :P ) What can I say? It's an honor to have Adam's back when he shoots. The guy's amazing. If only he didn't have such bony hips. -cackle- Now, as to the O.P. I agree with those who urge you not to push for Steadicam when you're not ready. It will indeed burn you much worse than not using it at all. You seem pretty experienced in other areas. Take the Malibu Workshop, or the Yellow Springs Workshop in May and see if you really have a taste for it. As far as Tim's show goes, good luck with the angles you get to call your own.
