Premium Members Jess Haas SOC Posted June 4, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 4, 2010 I recently have been rounding out my tool collection in order to fix up my steadicam and build some new parts. Had the drill press for a little while now but recently got a lathe, a miter saw(with the right blade its great for cutting aluminum) and a belt/disc sander(for grinding aluminum). Also lots of new drill bits, etc.... My newest creation is attached. I have lots more planned. Anyone else been tinkering lately? ~Jess
Premium Members Charles King Posted June 4, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 4, 2010 (edited) Very sweet looking Jess. This can get pretty addictive, especially knowing you can do it all yourself. Unfortunately, I do not do it myself but have someone to do the work for me. If I had shown interest a long time ago, I probably had too many things to list. I remade a new chest/spar to replace the EFP original plating. I also made rod adapter to mount on the rear of the sled as an option, for fore and aft adjustments of the dual battery mount. Premium Members Jess Haas SOC Posted June 4, 2010 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted June 4, 2010 I also made a new chest spar for my new pro vest. It allows me to use it with my very non standard socket block and also lets me adjust the height of the socket block to wherever I want. ~Jess
