Vest Suggestions Besides WK for Heavy rigs

I'm just not satisfied with the stock vest I got with my system when I purchased it and after 2.5 years i'm done with it. Now I'm having trouble finding any used or even new Vest sold a la carte online. I'm mounting the Glidecam GOLD arm ( http://www.glidecam.com/product-gold-arm.php ) to it for now until I purchase a PRO arm on august. Does PRO offer any other vest besides the WK Bucket? ANY thoughts would be useful. THANKS

I'll second that, Rob. Love my PRO vest. I don't know why I waited so long before getting it. Seriously, best investment I've made in years.

I think that, if polled, you would find an overwhelming number of operators who would rave about the PRO vest. For the part of the rig that is the most individual, thus provoking a wide range of opinions, the PRO vest has a very high success ratio for those who try it.

How easy is it to switch the pro vest over for us "goofy" ops?

Couple of minutes at most to undue the necessary bolt, swap the block onto the otherside of the spar and do the bolt up aagin.

I echo the comments already made - its a great vest. I'm very pleased with mine - its a massive improvement over all the front mounted vests I've worn.

I wish I got a Pro vest . I bought a Ultra 2 vest and it sucks ! .

Shoulder pads move because velco on the pads is a really bad design . Tiffen/ CP , considering how long you've been designing vests you should be streets ahead .

Justin,

I think you might not have your U2 vest adjusted snugly. I've never heard of that problem before, which is only to say it must be rare, I'm sure it's happened to others. I have found that vest to be quite comfortable and easy to adjust to myself. I am a few inches to skinny for it, but that is easily worked around. The complaints I usually hear about the shifting pads are usually in regards to vest sliding on the body, not so much about the pads themselves shifting. It's usually guys my size that I hear make those complaints. I'm not trying to change your mind, by all means upgrade when you are able. I just think a lot of people don't give it a fair shake. I personally preferred the Ultra 1 Vest, but the U2 vest is great too. Give it a shot, no reason to hate what you have.

Full Disclosure: I am a very satisfied owner of a Pro Vest. I much prefer it to the U2 vest and Klassen harness. It's just that I have nothing against the U2 vest, and don't like people dismissing it out of hand.

If i were to grade them (keeping in mind that C is average, and thus not a bad thing) , U2 vest would be a B, U1 vest B+, Pro A+(maybe with a few points of extra credit)
