Marty Meyerub
Curt Schaller invented the artemis camera stabilization system because he couldn't find a Steadicam vest to fit him. He is a vivacious, talented and seriously energetic man who loves to teach his craft. Come with your Steadicam vest and find out what makes him so special. Want details? marty@createasphere.com does the trick.
Premium Members Ken Nguyen Posted July 10, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 10, 2010 Hi Marty, Don't you think the word "INVENTED" is too much? Is Artemis vest a copy-then-modified of other vests? Is there any other vest that exists before the Artemis and still far more better than it? Yes, not one at least two: PRO and Walter. Ken Nguyen. Looks like all I need to do is get my hands on a pro sled, a 3a arm and a masters series vest then reverse engineer it! Sweet, I'm in! Premium Members Eric Fletcher S.O.C. Posted July 11, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 11, 2010 Two total post's and some wild claims.... I don't think you're time here is going to be easy Just saying. PS what exactly did Curt "Invent" and what's going on in this photo?
Premium Members Fabrizio Sciarra SOC ACO Posted July 11, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 11, 2010 Marty, I still don't get the point of your very first post, really. Are you trying to convince the folks here about something you really believe or it's just pure advertising? In both case you won't go really far. Curious to know. Premium Members Fabrizio Sciarra SOC ACO Posted July 11, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 11, 2010 Sorry, my fault. After a quick research of your only other post on this forum is clear, at least for me, that is just a shameless advertising. http://www.steadicamforum.com/index.php?showtopic=12211&st=0&p=57488&fromsearch=1entry57488 I'm afraid you aren't helping Artemis in any way. Fly even safer F Yes, a strange way to go about telling people about the Artemis. I doubt it if this Marty guy is in direct business with Curt Schaller. Curt seems like a nice guy, spoken to him a few times on the phone, and the Artemis rigs are decent. Great gimbal, decent rig, but the arm isn't quite there yet. Premium Members Bo Baraniak Posted July 14, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 14, 2010 I have spoken and met Curt a few times and I have nothing but praise for him. He is a "down to earth" operator and innovator who has invested all his time and energy adapting steadicam for the benefit of all operators. Furthermore his support (and Sachtler) is second to non, twice last month I have had exceptional service from the otherside of the world. I am an Artemis owner for 6 years now when I was looking for a HD/SDI sled, a wise decision at the time as only recently other manufacturers are offering this option. I believe no advertising is allowed. It will only do you and your firm damage having the likes of Eric's infernal microscope inspect you. On the subject of Curt. Really really nice bloke and I quite like his sleds. I also really like the MK-V sleds, XCS sleds, the GPI-PRO sleds, BaerBell sleds are really cool and hey Tiffen make some really good sleds as well. I don't like Progear sleds though..... Premium Members Matteo Quagliano Posted July 20, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 20, 2010 Don't know if he invented something new or not... but the socket block that can slide down to the bottom of the vest lookes very f#$^$%^ing cool in some situation... I dont think anybody has any problems or said anything about advertising for the workshops... The problem is the comments on top of this thread with statements like: "Curt Schaller invented the artemis camera stabilization system because he couldn't find a Steadicam vest to fit him". I am sure even Curt doesnt agree with that statement unless he used to look like this:
