Premium Members Tomas Riuka Posted August 4, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 4, 2010 Hello, i wonder what solutions do you guys have for broadcast cameras or any other camera with quick release plates... I did one show and had 2/3 SD broadcast camera with wireless system weighting over 10 kgs and the camera itself just has a pretty big shake from the baseplate, how do fix such camera to a stabilizer avoiding such shake? Premium Members Joel San Juan Posted August 5, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 5, 2010 Hi Tomas, Am using a custom Sony plate from MK-V that is extremely rigid with no flex whatsoever. and its really light too. Maybe you can email Howard for more information. Good luck. Let me know if you need some photos. Best Joel

Tim Tønnessen
I use: Baer-Bel sony plate http://shop.strato.de/epages/61417979.sf/en_US/?ObjectPath=/Shops/61417979/Products/%22Sony%20V-mount%20Plate%22 if not possible to use this Normal Sony plate (get a new and tight one) and put a strap around camera and top stage to secure it even more
Premium Members Rich Cottrell Posted August 6, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 6, 2010 I use a quick release plate from Thompson. It is not light, but it has a solid lock in the back that is adjustable. My FF mounts to dovetail plate so I like this solution as I can easily turn the camera back to HH if needed. The Thompson plate is good! Would have got one myself had it not been nearly 4x the price of the sony.
