Hi everyone,

I`ve done some images of a camera-rigshaw and want to know, what`s your opinion?

Does something like this exist already?

specs:

changeable platforms

-hardmount

-softmount for step-offs (special "seat" which supports the operator when going )

-bazooka-platform for use without steadicam

7 or 21 gears

disk-brakes

I personally havn't seen anything exactly like that (sort of a steadicam chariot) but it looks cool. I could see an opportunity to use one. The three things that come to mind at a quick glance are: How much, does it break down and fit in my SUV and how do I do a following shot (shooting off the front).

Cool idea.

I have toyed with the same idea. There are three wheeled bikes that are used a lot in Mexico tha have 2 wheels and a cargo area in the front.

I can't really think of any situations where an ATV wouldn't be a better option. The only real advantage would be if you could break it down enough and it was cheap enouh to always have in your kit for those times when you didn't think to order or couldn't justify the ATV.

Colin Anderson has a pretty neat sidecar set-up that utilizes bicycle wheels, speed rail and a half sheet of plywood. It sets up and breaks down quickly and can be configured to either side of the bicycle. Wish I had a photo. Johannes, did you end up fabricating that conceptualization?

Ron, I see those bikes around London all the time now. Did you actually operate Steadicam off that?

The cycle rickshaws that were everywhere in London where quite good to softmount on

I did a couple of jobs. Don Juan to shoot off behind you and 40mm+ shooting ahead and slight angle. They worked well. Although nowadays I don't like to softmount at all anymore.
