Premium Members Andrea Zoli Posted November 27, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 27, 2004 Hi guys recently I've worked in a tv live program with many childrens. This program is very famous in Italy and in Europe, is a competition between young singers, the title is "Zecchino D'oro". Works with the childs is very fun but they're not all tall and so I've build this sled. The low camera is for the childs, the high camera is for the classic television movment. Premium Members Gus Trivino Posted November 27, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 27, 2004 Ciao Andrea: In a few month I will go to Italy, only to see old friends. Do you live in Milano? Best, Gus.
Premium Members RobVanGelder Posted November 28, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 28, 2004 andrea, please put a picture on the forum! Edit; I just saw you tried already on another place in the forum, but that one is only partial. Try to resize the picture first at max. 600x450 and compress the jpg to 50% That will give you a reasonable size to put on the forum and a quick download too! TJ Williams
Paying you twice would not be enough!! Thats gotta weigh a few pounds. So do you record on the bottom camcorder? switch between camera heads? or is the wire off your back a hard wire? It looks like dual iris controls, no focus? are they slaved together? does it dynamic balance? So is the lower camera fixed and you adjust the upper camera on a donkey box type plate? I've just gotta say that I'm impressed you can carry this thru a whole show, and that you can keep track of all the screens, and get the shots which come up next on your arm screen... There have been some changes in steadicam in the last few years but I think this is about as radical a thing as I've seen.........Now that is an Alien!!!! Premium Members RobVanGelder Posted December 5, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 5, 2004 Very impressive!!!! I love to see what one can do with the old EFP/ 3A stages! Simple and they can be used and converted into many set-ups. How about batteries? I see 3 batteries on the set, but if this is a show, aren´t you connected by Triax? Would you have your sled powered by Triax if needed? That would take some weight off. I cannot find a broadcast quality transmitter, so in this picture you must be ISO, I guess. The motors look attched to either zoom or iris, Are you zooming remotely or is the iris adjusted remotely or by yourself? Great work and setup! :)
guillermo nespolo
well i have as i can see blance the camera for the low mode...so your normal mode...must be off balance...and what about triming? for head room or you put a neutral balance....... for shure looks impresive ..with pda and all i hope your picture do not get to be seen here in argentina ...and dont get ask to do that!!!!                    :b
Premium Members JobScholtze Posted December 10, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 10, 2004 Holy Cow, (respect Mode On ) Now THAT's a Setup :D I never sow something like this. How much weight was this setup? And the lower camera, is that recording iso? Ore also multi camera. How long did the show go on. This looks very very heavy and difficult to operate. ( Respect mode still on )
Premium Members Andrea Zoli Posted December 10, 2004 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted December 10, 2004 Hi all, yes this mode is heavy but not so much, in kilos around 30 (I've gold springs arm's). the cmas works separatly (I choose which using the switch upper the low mode plate). The signal goes is wireless (I don't rec with the Sony 790). The PDA on my arm is for the shoots, the show is long 2 hrs (not consecutive for me!!!). Using the start up camera I've the tally (the "on air" red light!) yet. The system cab be improve it. Next time I'd like to remote the focus on all 2 lenses with a BEN FISHER modified system and if possible using an only monitor and an only J-7.
