Premium Members Caleb Ennis Posted May 12, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 12, 2011 Not sure if anybody will understand this Akin... My guess "Does it take 2.5 months for loon works to service my motor?" or "Does it take 2.5 months for loon works to ship a newly purchased motor?" Premium Members Aaron King Posted May 13, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 13, 2011 Akin, I've been waiting for my M-One as well, and I literally just got off the phone with Don checking in on the order. He has moved his shop from California to Montana, which caused him to temporarily shut down. He is back up and running and he confirmed for me that I should be receiving my motor next week. He said that he is going to be working through the weekend in order to fulfill all backorders. Just continue to call him at 406-837-1370 as I have more luck getting through to him over the phone rather than email. Hopefully you will receive your order very soon. Premium Members Jon Beattie Posted June 21, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 21, 2011 Anyone else have an issue getting their order filled with Loon? I ordered a new digi m-one on 4/27. 5 emails all with no reply. Finally spoke with Don on the phone 6/9. Had a pleasant conversation he said that he'd just got a shipment in. He has numerous back orders and things had been delayed because of the move. Told me my motor would ship the next day. Well almost 2 weeks later still no motor and approaching my 60 day out with AMEX.

Was promised it was on the way 2 weeks ago. Nope, nothing! No word either. Now what? JA
Premium Members Aaron King Posted June 22, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 22, 2011 I as well had been in the same boat with ordering one back a few months ago. I seemed to place the order just days after his move began and he shut down shop. Once I got into the second month of waiting I began calling on a weekly basis always checking in on the status of my order. It was becoming tiring knowing that I had a brand new Digital Bartech just sitting in my office that I couldn't use without the digital motor (which no one in Nashville at the time has a digital setup that I know of) so I was still having to rent a full system when jobs came about. I was losing money. Finally, I was called for a really great job and I was bound and determined to use my own focus. As soon as I got off the phone with the producers for this job, I called up Don to again check on my order and he said it was being worked on and would ship out in the next few days. I flat out said that I needed it that Friday in time to prep on Saturday. Don said okay, and it came in the mail Thursday. Don knows he is backed up and that several people are waiting on a their products. Do not email, call him directly - (406)837-1370 - during the middle of the day when you know he will be working, and just lay it out for him. He has your money and you now need your motor. You don't have to be rude, just tell him you need what you rightfully paid for and give a deadline. It worked for me and this was only two weeks ago. Premium Members Ants Martin Vahur Posted June 25, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 25, 2011 Hi, everyone! So here is my story.. Sent him an e-mail in the end of January about faulty motor (M-one). We had several e-mails going back and forth about the shipping and fixing and all that. I sent my motor to him in the end of January, he promised to fix it in about 3-4 days. After the motor arrived to him, I never received any e-mails from him. Tried to contact him for two months by e-mail. In the end I started calling him and when I finally got to him, things started moving finally. But I had to call him every other or third day to keep the things moving. He sounded very pleasant on the phone, but never replied to any of my e-mails anymore. Finally 3 months! later I got my motor back in good condition. So he's ok, but just acting very irresponsible. So you just have to call him constantly to keep him doing the job. He's motor is top of the line but service is not a diamond level unfortunately, such as some other gems here, working in the steadicam industry. Ants Martin from Estonia- that is south of Finland! Premium Members William Demeritt Posted June 25, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 25, 2011 I gotta be honest, when I upgrade to the Bartech digital receiver, all these negative reviews will push me to buy a digital Heden or other. I have an analog M-One motor right now, but it makes me nervous that new business is neglected, so what chance do I have for service?? Premium Members Tomas Riuka Posted June 25, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 25, 2011 This is unacceptable... One year waiting is not normal..
