Premium Members Jerry Holway Posted September 1, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 1, 2011 Mohamad- The typical substitution is to use a Kipp™ handle. I see you are in Singapore so I'm not sure where you would get one. Go to McMaster-Carr on the web and you can see a range of them, also just Google for Kipp handles. One issue (for a good response to your question) is you don't specify what gimbal you are using, so a Kipp handle (or any other toolfree solution) may not work at all. Also, what's worn out? the screw itself or the female threads in the gimbal? If the latter, you may be able to add or replace the helicoil... but again, we don't know what gimbal you are using. Hope this gets you started on a solution. Jerry
Mohamad Faiz
Hi james thanks for the input. Am using an sk sled nt pretty sure what kinda gimbal it is . Was already on the sled when it was purchased. The flower of the screw is nearly gone and its a hassle to do balancing. I'll try posting pictures of it as soon as i could.
