Pro-X has a website that gives some info.

Switronix is bringing it to market in the US, I'm not sure what the relationship between Pro-X and Switronix is...are they the same company? Does Pro-X private-label for Switronix?. $2999 US for the basic HD-SDI/HDMI model, which they are calling the "Recon".

Hi Guys, after looking closely, I believe this unit is basically the IDX Camwave re-packaged. It looks intriguing and, perhaps, worthy of a closer look but I don't particularly like internal antennas so...

Pro-X may have installed some updated chip sets.

I've got a query in to the manufacturer so I'll post what I learn.

Cheers,

Tim

Price looks the same as the camwave, spec looks to be exactly the same too can't see the benefits other than external antennas maybe, but other than that I think I would rather stay with the more established brand name, will probably make for better resale value and you can always modify the camwave to have external antennas if you really want them.

Hi Guys, OK , have done a bit more digging and have come up with this link:

http://pro-x.en.alibaba.com/productshowimg/481710967-210593415/IDX_Wireless_Transmission_XW_HDU01.html

It is actually an IDX product but, perhaps, they have improved?? Sent some inquiries to the manufacturer in China as well as the TNP folks in the UK...no response yet from either.

I'm not sure if the dealer in Henan on Alibaba calling it and IDX unit actually means its got anything to do with IDX. I think its probably the factory that makes the IDX units "going it alone". Probably completely identical to the IDX unit in every way and made by the same people but nothing to do with IDX.
