Premium Members Andrew Ansnick Posted November 18, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 18, 2011 I was wondering how people are opting to mount their shiny new Cinetronic Monitors, as I intend to purchase one. I'm currently in the process of putting together a new rig and am strongly considering a Franken-XCS/PRO (i.e. XCS 2" Post & Gimbal w/PRO DB/JB's/Battery Hanger). I would love to find the best way to get the Cinetronic monitor on the same level as my batteries, dare I say "Co-planer", if I were to go this route. Any insights are greatly appreciated. I've looked at various brackets from PRO, XCS, Sachtler, etc. and would love to get some feedback from the operators currently flying these monitors - Which mount? And why? Any pics? Moderators Alec Jarnagin SOC Posted November 18, 2011 Moderators Report Share Posted November 18, 2011 Andrew, I have such a sled. I use the Cinetronics hardware. Sorry, these are bad pictures, but its all I have with the new set-up.
Premium Members Andrew Ansnick Posted November 19, 2011 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted November 19, 2011 Thanks Eric and Alec. I know the yoke's design puts it lower but I wasn't sure exactly how low it would end up being on a PRO sled through various mounting brackets since the majority of images I have found on the forums are with the monitors mounted to Ultimate sleds. The way this one was mounted via a MK-V bracket causes it to end up being much higher then it appears to be with the XCS mount on your sled Alec (which looks really nice by the way, thanks for posting the pics!) as shown here: Another question about the Sachtler telescopic mount and for those using it, have you noticed any vibrations? I'm sure that just through it's design alone it will have more flex then the XCS mount would.

When Simon Jays and designed the mount our first priority was to get the screen low co-planer with the battery masses
Premium Members Andrew Ansnick Posted November 19, 2011 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted November 19, 2011 Wow that is not the way I'd use the cinetronics monitor mount. When Simon Ays and designed the mount our firt priority was to get the screen low co-planer with the battery masses Yeah it's definitely a different approach, glad to know there's other options out there. I can see the reasoning behind it- to try and get the screen to that familiar PRO/TB6 height perhaps? But you're missing all the mass below the screen from the absence of "CRT" so your sled's balance is all out of whack. I appreciate all the r&d that went into this monitor, well done everyone involved! If anyone has any other pictures post them up and definitely chime in about the Sachtler mount. Premium Members Brian Nordheim Posted January 22, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 22, 2013 Hello don't visit the site too often. I have found with the new generation Pro that running only 2 batteries on the bottom of the sled and using an anton bauer HC clipped on to the back of the cinetronics balances out wonderfully. Also if there is anybody interested in purchasing a cinetronics monitor I highly recommend it. Chris has done a fantastic job with the product and he is willing to go out of his way to accommodate his clients. Thank you Chris
