Premium Members John E Fry Posted April 14, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 14, 2012 Has anyone got a Cinetronic in the UK? I'd love to have a look at one - and compare it to Teletest's reputed 1500 nit Cyclops... Would be interesting as the Teletest is less than 1/2 the price of the Cinetronic, although you do of course lose out on a few features. Would the trade off be worth it? Let's see if we can find out! Premium Members Thomas English Posted April 18, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 18, 2012 I've never had a problem on super bright days with my Transvideo CineIIIa monitor. Its Super bright days with a little cloud to reflect over the image... or KinoFlos positioned to reflect into the image. These are the killers. Please test these factors at NAB and tell me what you think. Thanks
Premium Members Thomas English Posted April 26, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 26, 2012 In the last 2 weeks I have had 2 jobs on tracking vehicles in the pouring rain. TB6 with a rain cover and covered in water is just visible! Those rain covers despite their best efforts, end up quite shiny. Can we use a Cinetronic in the rain with no rain cover on? Is it completely waterproof?

Premium Members James Davis Posted April 26, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 26, 2012 Is the picture on the Cinetronic accurate enough to gauge exposure off of and can it be set to have a small histogram up on the screen like the Transvideos can? No histogram but you can judge exposure off of it
Premium Members chris bangma Posted April 27, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 27, 2012 We will be adding histogram to the new monitor, with a scale showing the values.

Thanks for the response Chris, it's a really nice time saving feature that I like on the Transvideo's, glad to hear it's going to be included on the new version.
