Excellent Transvideo service

Just want to give a shout out to Noel at Transvideo for the incredibly fast service done for me recently. I had a HD super-bright monitor damaged on a job by an assistant. The anti reflective glass was smashed and the shards scratched the matrix below. They brought it into Transvideo and it was repaired in a matter of hours that same day. This kind of service is worth considering when spending $7000 on a 6" television.

We could argue that we give you an inch more for $2000 less :-) But all kidding aside, one of the advantages of the Cinetronic monitor is that we use a hardened glass front on it, which is bonded to the LCD panel. The bonding greatly strengthens the glass and the LCD, since it eliminates the air space between the LCD and glass. This makes the whole assembly much stronger, and prevents dust and moisture between the two. Since it is bonded, the viewing angle is greater, and contrast is also improved, since internal reflections are eliminated. These are some of the many reasons why Apple chose to bond the screens on the iPhone.

Wow that is pretty fast! Ive been considering Transvideo for awhile. Just can't decide on Cinetronic or Transvideo...

Your Assistant drop the monitor? Did it break easy?

It flopped over while mounted in an Ultimate arm car traveling over very rough terrain and the screen must have caught the edge of something hard. As you can see they continued to use it for exposure evaluation purposes. This monitor has fantastic tools for evaluating the image, exposure and focus. It also has a built in digital level. If you are going to use a monitor to shoot with I couldn't recommend it more. If Steadicam use is your only consideration, the Cinetronic monitor sounds like a great option. And a cheaper one. But comparing monitors is not why I started this thread. It was to commend Transvideo for great their great service.
