One that bolts into the carry handle on an HDW 750 P ? The system Im using has an Arri made bracket that uses Arri 15mm rods and has a rosette on the New York side but the bars are very flexible and if grabbed they flex the gears either off the lens or out of wack. I cant mount from the rosette. If the motor was hung from above it would be independent of all the flexing.. Im looking to hire one of these in the UK, or buy if its reasonably priced.. Premium Members Stephen Murphy Posted February 20, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 20, 2005 Maybe the plate that Baer-bel make might work for you? www.baer-bel.de I havent used it myself but it looks like its thin enough to fit on the bottom of the camera without causing too much discomfort to the operator (providing he wears a shoulder pad). you could then mount 15mm iris rods to the fromt of the plate and mount your motors from there. Alternatively it might be a better (but heavier) option to just use the standard arri bridgeplate with some 19mm bars. If you go that route you might consider getting the "Anita" pad from rocsteadi gear: www.rocksteadigear.com its a great shoulder pad that has a pair of shoulder straps to hold it in place on the ops shoulder. it works very well and is very reasonably priced. hope this helps Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It is rigid enough to work with a remote focus like Bartech or Preston (15mm) and it is still compatible with your existing tripod plate. Mitch Gross Posted February 21, 2005 Report Share Posted February 21, 2005 If you're simply looking to hire/rent a solution, then you should consider the Chrosziel rod adapter previously mentioned. I know in NYC these are available to rent for something like $25/day. Last year I had a shoot that ran long enough that I simply bought one (I think it was around $450) and rented it back to production. All the pro-style Sony cameras from the DSR-300 up to the F900 fit. I believe Panasonics require a slightly different model and I know that my old JVC DV500 needed a different model. Good for mounting followfocus, mattebox, handgrips, etc. I love sticking my Aaton handgrips onto video cameras tis way--so much more comfortable to handhold.
