Premium Members Eric Fletcher S.O.C. Posted April 11, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 11, 2012 Brian, If you keep posting our trusted secrets, we might have to ban you. You're still missing a few key ingredients though so I'll let it slide. I will say that two of the secret ingredients are "sweat from a compassionate producer" and essence of talent from a director

Premium Members Lawrence Karman Posted April 11, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 11, 2012 Just look at the lifting capacity chart on the pro website and add a few pounds and.you will have an approx lift. Two things... 1-wtf is a titan and 2-vote for pedro Yeah, so when did the PRO arm suddenly become the Titan and why does everyone seem to know that? Jack had an open house at GPI a week ago, that's when a lot of guys found out. A few of us got to check out the Atlas while it was still in early development. Moderators Janice Arthur Posted April 12, 2012 Moderators Report Share Posted April 12, 2012 Job I'm with you, didn't know the PRO arm had a name, now I do! (Shouldn't Atlas be the bigger arm? You know as in Atlas lifted the world?) JA
Premium Members Rich Cottrell Posted April 12, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 12, 2012 I think this is great. I have often thought about dropping one section off my pro arm to loose so weight, so i look forward to this product... but why the heck would PRO introduce this new name their already existing arm, and why would you name its smaller brother Atlas? Mythology said Atlas lifted the world right? But this would be apx 50%.... of the original PRO arm... either way i hope this is available as a kit for PRO owners who just want one arm in their life. rich
Premium Members Rich Cottrell Posted April 12, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 12, 2012 BTW I will never call my arm a Titan....

(By the way, Atlas is a son of Titan, but ATlas is stronger and more powerful than most Titans.) Cheers, Ken Nguyen.

Premium Members Brian Freesh Posted April 12, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 12, 2012 <greekmythologygeekiness> Technically Atlas was a Titan himself, and held up the Sky, not the Earth. Still the heaviest thing in like, ever! However, as he was but one Titan, perhaps the names chosen are still apt? Then again, maybe Atlas for the original arm, and Heracles for the new? During one of his labors, Heracles took the sky off Atlas' shoulders briefly, and had to trick the Titan into holding it again. Hercules was the Roman name. :P </greekmythologygeekiness>

Premium Members Lars Erik Posted April 12, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 12, 2012 Hmm...did PRO go for the Titan name after watching the Titan condoms scene in Amazon women on the moon, or did they see this wonderful ad for Titans condoms online? Premium Members JobScholtze Posted April 12, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 12, 2012 Say whatever you like, my new pro arm has PRO marks on the side, so its a PRO, period. Call the new arm whatever you like, but i have a PRO. Otherwise i have to send it back to rename it to atlas, titan, lisagav, or whatever its called. I have a hughe problem now, i am walking around with a pro that seems to be an atlas? What to do, am i still allowed to walk with it? Thank god i still have my older pro arm that is nameless on the side, i can use that one in the meantime.
Premium Members Robert Starling SOC Posted April 12, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 12, 2012 Be nice! I know we all like to have a little fun (maybe a lot of fun) here on the forum at times but take it easy on Jack and the gang at PRO; despite Jack's macho Army man facade he's sensitive like a butterfly! Whatever the name is, it's nice to see a company spending the huge amount of money it takes in R&D to offer us an alternative arm for smaller packages and see them growing their newly acquired business. They could have kept on doing just fine as they are now and not address the needs and concerns of the operators who do not need the 70+ pound lift range of the original arm. In the seven zillion posts on the forum, I've never once seen a negative thread on PRO products that they didn't address immediately. Your arm breaks, they fix it. A defective part, they fix it. Parts found to perform poorly, they replace it with a better part and most of the time you didn't even know there was a problem, they just do it when your arm or rig is in for other service. Wouldn't it be nice if every vendor who serves us gave us the quality and service that PRO and a small handful of others do! Then we'd never have anything to whine about!
