Premium Members Sanjay Sami Posted September 20, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 20, 2013 Robin - received it today. Mounted it up and took it for a spin. Wow ... what a difference. Love it already.
Premium Members Chris Van Campen Posted October 5, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 5, 2013 The latest Wagner Horizon (WHM-BG) software update--now shipping--, has a few nice improvements: enhanced compensation for static horizon angle error over temperature, down to fractions of a degree -- Once you zero it to your rig it should be good all day long. Also improved: after a very dynamic and/or large tilt roll pan move the unit recovers true level even more rapidly-- typically less than a second. Finally: upgraded rejection of acceleration errors while rotating about any axis -- even if sensor box mounted away from post center. Hi Steve - is there any way to determine what version of sw is loaded on a given unit, and if it's the latest? Something like powering on with a button combo etc? thanks, Chris
Premium Members steve wagner Posted October 6, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 6, 2013 Hi Chris, not in current units but that's a good idea! Will definitely consider it for future releases. At this point I would say contact Tiffen about your unit and they will be able to tell you what version you have based on when you received it. Premium Members Hervé Colosio Posted October 17, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 17, 2013 I am using Transvideo's Virtual Horizon 2 in a 8 inch CineMonitorHD eSBL with real time movment compensation and shock filtering , it is amazing because the movements of the level are fluid like a liquid bubble but with the very usefull on screen reads . shock and accélération compensation let you have a very quick response leveler without the problems of a bubble trembling. In hard mount configuration it’s absolutely necessary. i've see that Transvideo introduced during IBC a new 9 axis wireless version, I'll try it as soon I can and tell you about it just right here :)
