Premium Members Brian Freesh Posted April 9, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 9, 2013 How many converter boxes would you have, don't you only need one? I've never used the Arrow, how is this different from using one with a Decimator 2?
Premium Members Alan Rencher Posted April 9, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 9, 2013 When the arrow is docked it essentially becomes one unit with one power supply. The arrow stays firmly in the dock. It's not something that everyone needs, but it allows a native hd-sdi solution without the need to purchase a new model. Using a decimator with a separate power cable for each works fine; that's what I normally do. The price point for the crossbow will be under $300. Premium Members JamieSilverstein Posted April 9, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 9, 2013 What about the HDMI issues with the receiver? I live in the HD SDI world, so I guess I'll still need an HDMI to SDI converter for that as well correct?

Will the crossbow ultimately have an HDSDI pass thru?
Premium Members Alan Rencher Posted April 9, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 9, 2013 It's in talks right now about adding pass through. I've been telling Dan that is mandatory.
Premium Members Alan Rencher Posted April 9, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 9, 2013 Paralinx is announcing the Tomahawk, a new native HD-SDI receiver that works with existing transmitters. The Tomahawk increases the range to 1200ft.

Premium Members JamieSilverstein Posted April 10, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 10, 2013 Crossbow, Tomahawk, Arrow. I'm sensing a theme. All kidding aside, if the HDSDI receiver is in the offing, then this becomes a pretty flexible package of transmitters and receivers. Now, the proof is in the products. I'd love to see them, out of beta and into market items. I like to put my hands on things, or at least see that they are in production before I buy them. Premium Members James Davis Posted April 11, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 11, 2013 Anything that can put a client 1200ft away from set and keep them there sounds amazing ;)
