Hi all;

Another era is probably long gone. . . Its been at least a few years since I've even heard anyone say this.

We're filming a commercial, movie, etc." is no longer in anyone's head!

The newest generation professionals has maybe a "Let's shoot this or what I personally hate is "Let's take this!. Boy I hate that one.

Just like a lot of other things its different!.

Janice

On a related note, I was wondering aloud the other day what the "kids these days" say when they want to convey that they don't want to keep repeating themselves.

I'm guessing "I don't want to sound like a broken record" doesn't resonate. Sad, because it's such an apt metaphor.

Back when the internet was made of WOOD!

Hi all. Please DO NOT quote entire posts (especially when they contain pictures or graphics). Uses up server space.

It doesn't use extra server space (or if it does, the site is built poorly), but it is rather annoying, so I'm in a bottom line agreement with Alec. Cleanliness is next to godliness.

Yes Afton, ex-web designer, I know. Just trying to get people to stop doing it!!!! Thanks for calling me out.

Instead, I'll cut through the BS and just start deleting them.

And I'd add, that most of you are not as funny as Ron Baldwin, so stop trying!!!!!

And I'll also delete them. I've also asked nicely. No more. Quote entire posts especially ones with stupid photos and I'll delete them

Ron agrees

When Cinema Products was demonstrating the EC-35 (Electronic Cinema) camera in the early 80's to a die-hard film cameraman he asked if they could put something in the camera that would make the sound of film rolling when recording because not hearing the film rolling made him nervous.

Oh the times, they are a changing......
