Premium Members Thomas English Posted July 30, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 30, 2012 I am looking for an L-Bracket. These where traditionally used to put the camera on their sides so you could fly a camera over a table AR style. There are photos in Jerry Holway's book. I actually need to point the camera straight upwards! Its only a RED Epic so I reckon I'll be ok as the camera is so short. I am shooting a film for Planetarium with a fisheye lens rigged from the inside of a convertible car. Thanks for your help! Thomas
Premium Members Jerry Holway Posted July 30, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 30, 2012 There is actually a pix in the book shooting straight up as you describe... regardless, both were done with the same custom L bracket. I suggest you go to a hardware store and make something up that is just the right size for the camera. Jerry
Premium Members Benjamin Treplin Posted July 30, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 30, 2012 Hi Thomas, I have one. It's actually an U-bracket but can be used as L as well.

Premium Members Benjamin Treplin Posted July 30, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 30, 2012 Markus Bernhard made this bracket for me a few years back. It was for a shot in an aircraft where I had to preceed the lead actor through a very narrow alley, pan down mid way to find a walking stick the actor stumbles over, pan up again. Markus seems pretty convinced you can't use this to point the camera upwards. Its only an Epic but I am talking to him right now.
