Operating in Israel

So I'm heading over to Israel for several multi-camera productions and the truck uses fischer connectors (see below part of email). I have a set of King adaptors but last time I was over there they are totally different sizes which makes them useless.

Steady-cam

Please bear in mind that the OB truck triax cables are all with Fisher connectors. Please make sure the device will arrive with the right adaptor, or let us know if you need any support from our side.

So my question to the community is does anyone have a jumper or set of connectors they would rent me (or hopefully the production company) for this trip. Or can anyone point me to someone who makes them for steadicam.

thanks,

Trav

Hey Travis,

I ran into this same issue when I was shooting there last summer. Cam Mate in AZ should be able to get the fischer connectors to you 480-813-9500. If that doesn't work I can send you mine. Send me a PM if you need them.

Jeff

Jeff,

were you there with Glenn Beck last year? Also, I'm sending you a PM now.

Hello Travis my friend.

I think that the Triax used in Europe is different than in the US.

You can get an adapter here: Artemis-hd

It's 940€ = 1180$

Hope everything is going great

Thomas :-)

Hey Thomas!! Good to hear from you old friend. I hope all is well and thanks for the info!

Are those Triax or Smpte Fibre 304M? cause those look similar to what I'm using on a job this week. Instead of one connector inside, they have several inside there, kind of looks like 2 shielded coax cables with two others on the side.. Smaller and lighter than a triax connector and the cable you drag is lighter too.!

UPDATE:, I saw the connectors I use and their LEMO FUW.3K and PUW.3K, so never mind.....
