G-ZOOM needed in Germany/Hamburg

Hi there,

I´m Felix and I sorry for not introducing myself before starting the first topic but these days we have 2 small TV Shows, one live to Tape and the second one broadcasting live, both with an OB Truck.

We have a,

Archer SE,

Wireless Intercom Radiocom 800,

Wireless Tally,

BOXX HD-SDI Transmitter/ and Triax,

Fujinon A-4,8/10 BERT (there is a Zoom and a Focus motor mounted).

The director told us that there is no extra money for a focus assistant, therefore we will try to find a solution to operate as good as possible without an extra hand. We tought about the G-ZOOM with Fuji Connectors to operate the focus at least a little bit.

First question:

Is there maybe anyone in Hamburg or elsewhere who would let us borrow or maybe rent his G-ZOOM with Fuji connectors?

Secound question:

Is that way of operating the lens possible, or did we make a mistake with the G-ZOOM and how it works?

Would love to hear from one of you and appreciate every help!

Thank you so much in advance,

Felix

Yeah the G-Zoom is the go. As long as you have the focus servo in the lens it will work perfectly for you.

I've had mine for about 5 years now and still rate it as the best for doing your own zoom and focus.

Also the customer service from Eric is great if something does happen. The cables are Very thin so you have to be extremely careful with them.

Hi Felix!

You should not work without an AC for a Broadcaststation in Hamburg. Thats unfavorible for our rates in future. Also yours! Today is it the AC and tomorrow half of your fee. If they have not enough money for an AC, they can't have a Steadicam.

(for international colleagues: It's not usual to work without AC for TV-shows in germany.)

Best regards,
