SK Gimbal Weight Range

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I have been flying an old SK system. I just recently upgraded to a used provid arm. I am curious about what the safe operating range of my gimbal is. My old arm was rated up to 19 pounds. With the new arm I have read between 26-28 pounds. Am I asking for trouble or is there a little head room with these gimbals?

Thank you in advance for any input.

Josh

Hallo Josh,

The SK2 was my previous rig.

I put up to an Arri SR3 with its video assist, wireless focus and video transmission + a 5kg weight plate to the bottom so that I could have the gimbal centered and above...

We are talking about 15kg on the gimbal....no problem at all.

Hope I helped a bit,
