Nice looking setup but the sort of hilarious part is what is displayed on the monitor screen...

Yes, the receiver was searching for the transmitter and I didn't turn my transmitter on.

Anyone here sent his Bolt back to the company for the upgrade ? I sent a request to upgrade 3 days ago and no one reached me yet ...

I received the email from the company about two days after I sent the request. You will hear from them soon.

Hey Guys,

Today we released an HDMI version of our Bolt Pro and regular Bolt systems. They are identical to the HD-SDI version except:

1. There is no looping HDMI input on the Pro series

2. There is only a single HDMI output on the receiver

All new units, including HDMI Bolts, include all of our latest upgrades, which ensure optimal performance.

You can mix and match HDMI / HD-SDI transmitters and receivers. However, these must still be paired at our facility prior to shipment (this may change in time).

All Bolt transmitters purchased from today onward will have an upgraded voltage tolerance of 6-28V.

If Bolt's current 6-16V range isn't enough for you, we're happy to update your unit. Please email sales@teradek.com for further information.

And finally, since we understand so many of you are wondering what we have up our sleeves for NAB, we are now offering a 100% credit toward an upgraded unit 90 days after purchase (provided the unit is in like new condition). Just to be clear, im not saying we have anything new for Bolt, but just in case! ;)

Hope to meet some of you at NAB this year!

Had a weird moment with the Bolt last week on a shoot. The system was working fine for about an hour. Then we powered it up again after moving the monitor, but the Rx wouldn't send out a signal. One light would flicker on the unit, but no output signal via any of the two HDsdi outputs, not even a "Searching" text. Tried every power solution, monitor and cable possible.

We ended up plugging the unit into a PC with a USB and that made something click, it started working again as good as ever! I have no clue what the issue was - it was a bit concerning, but aleast it started working again!

Just thought I'd share, to see if this has happened to anyone before.

Everyone,

We're looking for a couple of beta testers who have SDI workflows and are willing to provide us with some in-depth feedback starting next week. I can't get into details, but if you're interested please send me a message and ill get back to you shortly.

Exciting things are coming!
