SD composite, HD-SDI, SD-SDI - just a note

Evrim: that device is the single most misleading piece of electronics sold in our industry. I bought the MD-DUCC expecting it to do exactly that, and it absolutely does not do CVBS to SDI. Furthermore, it cannot even do HD-SDI to CVBS and scaling to HDMI at the same time, something the Decimator 2 does quite adequately.

Hey William

I dodged I bullet there then! Last month, I was decided to buy this device for a project. But the job fell through.

But seriously, when I read:

• True Down Up Cross conversion, allowing the conversion between

any of the supported formats. Simply select the output format

And then,

• Selectable analog video from: 3 x CVBS / YPbPr / RGB / CVBS & YC

On a product page from a reputable manufacturer (I’m a decimator owner since forever) I tend to believe what I read.

Well, No more :)

black magic design also offers a vide variety of converters. two of them might be helpful to your needs:

Mini Converter Analog to SDI -- Analog YUV/S-Video/Composite to 3G-SDI with 2 ch AES/EBU or analog audio.

or

Mini Converter UpDownCross -- Up, down and cross converter, includes full NTSC/PAL standards converter.

ps: i had some problem with BM converters in the past about their input voltage range being very narrow but i think they solved this problem now.
