Premium Members David Karger Posted May 23, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 23, 2013 In case anyone is still reading this thread, I just ordered the pin directly from Jergens for about $35. This was the four-pin, heavy duty steel version, part number 806427-4B, just as Chris Van Campen had said. McMaster-Carr wanted $75 for the same pin, so Jergens is probably the way to go. I just received mine from jergens, it's way too big like 3 time too big. ill check the reference I ordered but something went wrong for me with the order. Premium Members Mark Schlicher Posted May 24, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 24, 2013 Thanks for the heads-up on this potential problem, guys. I've not experienced it but I am forewarned and will shortly be forearmed (pun intended).
Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted May 24, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 24, 2013 This is from my order invoice. Item code: 803027 Description: KLP, REC BTN, 1/4X4.0 SS that was not the right thing, way too big. Let me know what is the right item number so I can hopefully have it swapped. Premium Members Chris Van Campen Posted May 24, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 24, 2013 Hi Victor - did they ship the right pin? Â Any 1/4"x4" should fit perfectly. It's just a matter of how many locking balls you want.
Premium Members Chris Van Campen Posted May 24, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 24, 2013 Just noticed that there are "2" Jergens...  www.jergensinc.com and www.jis.com  David - where'd you get yours from? I'm guessing the latter, and Victor from the former. Seems like jergensinc is more of a Chinese distribution outlet?  And to comment on something mentioned earlier, if you happen to hang your arm on the docking stand, guess what, it's upside down - sans load - and if so much as a fruit fly lands on your pin's tip you might be up the creek without a paddle. Or pin. Or whatever.

Premium Members Chris Van Campen Posted May 25, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 25, 2013 This is what I received. Hi Victor - looks about right. Is it actually 1/4x4"? Which dimension was too big? The 4" is measured between the locking ball and the bottom of the upper part.
Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted May 25, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 25, 2013 Actually I don't have the sled and the pin in the same location Dino will actually double check if it fits tomorrow.
Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted May 26, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 26, 2013 Ok, I'm just tired. The pin is the perfect size. For some reason I picture the pin smaller than that. But it's all good the two ball stop the pin from falling as expected. The button mechanism is a bit taller than the letting thing but not an issue.

If its too high maybe you ought to put it from the bottom! Â ;) Â I'm only joking of course

Premium Members Mark Schlicher Posted May 27, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 27, 2013 Victor, Â You ordered the recessed-button version, I believe others had referenced this one: 806427, which has a non-recessed button. That's probably why yours is taller than you expected.
Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted May 27, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 27, 2013 Yes, that might have been better, oh well it's fine for now. And it actually protects the tension know next to it so its fine. Well see on the long run if a change needs to happen again.
