I don't know if winning is the point... Try getting a dolly up a spiral staircase, for example. It would be a fun and educational way to put these devices through their paces to see their limits and strengths.

I swear to god, the way some people have indicated certain individuals posting here has made them reluctant to contribute or sign in to this forum... that's how I'm feeling as the conversation about this ONE piece of equipment spirals into the 7th level of hell.

We get it. Amateurs and fakers LOVE it. DSLR shooters think it's the thing that will FINALLY make them legitimate. Veterans hate it, and professionals give an enthusiastic "Meh...". Aside from the potluck of filmmaking equipment embarrassments, is there really any usefulness to this thread anymore?

This thread has become the Westboro Baptist Church of ALL SteadicamForum threads: while I defend the thread's rights, I kinda want to see it hit with a brick or disappear.

Well I disagree... the title of this thread is "interesting new" rig.. thats what I relate to.. my original answer to the video above was to post a 8 minutes "one shot" I did a few years ago, just to say: "this is how its supposed to be done.." I regretted it and changed my post to " much better" because this is not a pissing contest. I could also have written..: well this is not really that slow, framing is quite random and headroom is going up and down like the early morning waves at my local beach.. But this would be aimed at the operator, and the

topic here was gear..cheap gear.. and to be honest.. the picture was floating and could have been done by an inexperienced operator with expensive gear.

Well, there's some apparently been some advances in the Movi. After a month of brainstorming, careful planing, and R&D; they've stuck it on the end of a Steadicam Arm and Vest.

Edit: Damn, didn't read the far enough back. Well, better picture of it and they're publicizing it a bit more.
