So wait, it's a whole new transmitter too? For some reason I thought it was just the receiver. Am I looking at a transmitter on the left and a receiver on the right? I see BNCs on the right. Is this an SDI model over all? Does it have loop through?

From what Dan has told me, it's an all new chipset, so you won't be able to pair it with Arrow as previously planned. It's a transmitter and receiver pair. The first transmitter will be HDMI only, no loop through. The receiver is HD-SDI only, with two outputs. A native HD-SDI transmitter is being developed.

I believe this system is being developed specifically for the drone market, so that's why the choice of I/O is the way it is. I'm hoping that Dan will listen to what the non-aerial operators want.

Perhaps explained by this?

Yes, this is a whole new system that uses a different signal than the arrow. This show floor model is HDMI on the camera side as it is designed for hexacopter which mostly uses HDMI cameras. Dan assured me that a native SDI loop through transmitter is on the way as well.

The case will milled alluminium (like the transmitter shown here) with a wing shaped heat sink on it the receiver will have an gold mount or v mount plate on it and should be able to be sandwiched on the monitor's battery plate for lightweight setups. There will also be a possibility to spread the antennas around an area to widen the coverage.

Hi,

i bought a similar system from rebotnix.com for $6.499 USD for my steady-rig last week.

The system looks as far i can see the same like the PARALINX. I got a small HDMI transmitter and on the receiver and HD-SDI / Loop. I was told that the will release in 2 weeks the HD-SDI Version for the transmitter that i can upgrade for $500 USD which i will do cause i hate to work with HDMI. They also offered some external custom made antenna that i don´t bought / need. So i only bought the system with small antennas.

You can details here as well a demo video and picutre:

I used the system with my new Sony F5 and it works really stable. In my setups i dont need more then 200 meters.

I'm going to go ahead and call this out for what it is. So - someone went to the Amimon Booth at IBC and took photos with the reference design product being shown.

Rest assured that this first time post here from some ally looking to drive traffic to the Rebotnix site is what I would call outright fraudulence from a group known for their less than scrupulous behavior.

Also know that the Paralinx Tomahawk will be the first product of its kind in the marketplace and will not simply be a common reference design. There is much more to it. Also know that fraudulent and illegal activity especially in regards to RF devices is generally frowned upon by all national and international governing bodies, and none of us wants to face a crackdown by government agencies or entities do we?

I dont see what´s wrong as a new young steadycam operator to register a new account and show and share my experience other users what kind of tools i use on my rig.

I´m also not working for any company where i get paid for product spam. I also dont you Mr. Dan Kanes, maybe i can ask for a little proper respect to each other. Thank you.

When you read my first entry, i´m also not 100% satisfied with the current version of rebotnix transmitter. On the transmitter you only have HDMI. On our shot today, you see what i have to include to run the whole system on our Sony F5. I made a snapshot where you can see that these kind of solution is not for pro´s.

I also want to share some results about range. I can confirm that the system works in a range of 300 meters without any problems. After 400 Meters i see a little compressions artifacts and snow, but 400 meters is really a long range that i don't need. The support guys from rebotnix told me that i can extend the range a lot with a custom made antenna.

I also tested the camera control feature where you have a remote button that you can connect on the SDI receiver where you have a wireless lanc control for start and stopping the camera video recording. I don't need this in my daily work, but it works.

I´m still waiting for my SDI upgrade on the transmitter and if anyone is interest i will also share the results.

All the best

Mike

It's going to be a sad day for you when you find out you have ZERO support.

I only wish you the best of luck, and...

PS I love haters.

BTW - I have 100% confirmation on exactly what happened here, and I am pretty confident this has zero impact on what we are doing.

Furthermore - if it's something "NEW AND DIFFERENT" and deserves my respect, then why didn't you create your own thread instead of advertising in a thread about someone else's product?

Just seems suspicious to someone who has their finger on the pulse as much as I do. Also not surprised to see the Usual suspects Dogging me.

Hey, Eric - remember when we used to work on "Everybody Hates Chris" together, and I was just a lowly Set Lighting Technician? I thought we were friends. I guess time changes a lot of things, right?

We're all Hungry for Money and Power I suppose, and its just a sign of the times when people get vicious.

Dan,

I wish you would stop bashing other companies and spread rumors without actually supplying proof.

The above named company is located in Germany, within the EU and is therefore bound by their rules and regulations which are some of the toughest in the world.

You said you be the first in the marketplace, clearly you are not, but it does not really matter who is first but who performs best and delivers the best customer service in the end.

We all need a good, reliable, payable HD-sdi wireless system, that transmits further than a stone-throw.
