Premium Members Frederic Chamberland Posted April 19, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 19, 2013 Just wanted to share this gizmo made by David Hable . I asked David for one because on the TV show i'm on for 90 days, the DP has the Focus iris unit locked on the video village monitor and leaves it on all day. Plug it in the video village power bar and forget about it. about 100$ Cheers
Premium Members Alan Rencher Posted April 19, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 19, 2013 I made something similar for my Nikon. It's a switching regulator in a battery pack that can hook into a DC source up to 30v.
Premium Members Charles Papert Posted April 19, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 19, 2013 Was just thinking about this the other day for the umpteenth time--"why don't we have dummy battery adaptors for the F/I", probably asked Howard about this five years ago. Will contact David about it. Thanks Frederic.

Premium Members Frederic Chamberland Posted April 24, 2014 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted April 24, 2014 How did a Monster Remotes Preston battery end up in Montreal modified to be an AC adapter? Hi Lee, David Hable sent me this adapter all built from scratches and he used an empty shell from his drawers. Maybe he had some Monster remotes bits and parts from them. I know he has some of my old cables with my name on it somewhere on his floor....
