Taking orders for the first run of HC3's

New batch ordered, no changes from the first run. Now they come with a case and extra tools and screws, total cost $1800 + shipping.

Also, I'm selling the prototype for the HC3 (the one in the pictures). It is functionally the same as the production model with a few cosmetic differences. It is also powder coated instead of anodized. Selling that one for $1000 + shipping.

I've used it like that before when rollerblading. I feel like you would miss the gimbal action to compensate for body movement if you tried to use it walking but I can't say for sure.

For moving vehicle work it is petty much the best tool I've found. It might be cool mounted to a Segway as well but I haven't had it long enough to test it on many things other than moving vehicles.

usually mounted to a vehicle..... particularly a vehicle with speed rail attached to it. i have two purpose built vehicles (a three wheel street bike and a four wheel off road vehicle) that are pre rigged with speed rail all the time.

you can also mount it to a hi hat or sticks (if you have a mount for that) or wear it with a steadicam vest and arm though the best use for it is attached to speed rail and attached to the vehicle.

So another super cool trick you can do with the HC3 is use it as a super low mode cage. James Baldanza gave me the idea and I had a chance to try it out today on set with Dan Marino on a Nutrisystem spot.

Basically you just unscrew the collar (2 screws) and attach your steadicam plate (2 screws). Then balance. It took me about 5 or 6 minutes to set up but it was my first attempt. I'm thinking you could do it in about 3 min with some practice.

It gets you that extra few inches to a foot lower than traditional low mode without getting in the way of your leg. It actually felt very comfortable at about 8" off the ground. Here are a few videos of me from set today using it in super low mode on the steadicam.

Sorry for poor video quality as it was done by pa's with iphones and the shot of the girl running was my phone shooting my monitor while I played back with the rig on the dock in low mode.......

I'm on build 3 and was just about to announce I'm taking orders...

I have 1 that has specifically requested one and Brad you would make two. I have about a dozen other, 'interested'. I could make it worth while to do a run if I had six orders. Lead time is like a week from the time I place the orders to the day I ship.

Come and get em.
