Powering Accessories from Sled

Recommended Posts

Hi chaps,

First post!

I own an Ultra sled (SD/24V), and would like the option of powering accessories from the stage. Is the 3-pin Lemo connector the same 3-pin Lemo Arri uses to power its 12V accessories? I.e. Can Arri's readily-available cables plug into my sled?

Secondly, I would like a get-out-of-shit option like a 3-pin Lemo to D-tap, or 3-pin Lemo to XLR in my kit - to whom would you UK operators go to have something like that made?

Thanks for your time.

Best,

Sam

Welcome to the forum!

Well, Arri never used a 3pin Lemo to power 12v accessories. Arri uses a 3pin Fischer for 24v accessories, 11pin Fischer for 12v accessories. And on the Alexa they also have a 2pin Lemo for 12v.

And the Ultra had a 2pin Lemo 12v to power accessories, though yours may have been modified, or maybe the later runs of Ultras had the 3pin for all I know.

And the Alexa 2pin Lemo is reversed polarity from the Ultra 2pin Lemo.

So, no, you cannot use Arri accessory cables on your sled. I suppose you could just have a small adapter cable made (x2) so you don't need to get a whole bunch of new cables.

Good luck!

We make connectors like Lemo and fischer in china... I know XLR,but I am not very familiar with D-tap. If you need,we can make them for you,it is much cheaper of the goods themselves, but the shipping cost would be much high if you just need several.
